Lori made mashed potatoes Sunday. She normally cuts the potatoes into cubes like my mom, but not nearly as small as yours. Sunday she said she did them like her mom, and basically cut each potato into four pieces. I couldn't tell the difference. 🙂
Thank you for the recipes😊
Sometimes I add back some of the potato cooking water instead of adding milk to mashed potatoes. It adds the moisture and along with butter or Butter buds for flavor, it is delicious. To use stronger onions, just saute them before adding.
Yummmmm! My mouth's watering, love those hot comfort foods on a cold winter's day.
I've been so busy yesterday and this morning, but I finally found time to watch you and Katie make a great meal. You're both such good mothers, always prioritizing your family. Hoping that the presidential visit to NC will result in more aid for flood survivors. Continuing to pray for them, and for your uncle, Nana, Granny, and the rest of your family. Thanks for the video, and God bless!
Tipper? Can Katie have gluten free flour from King Arthur? I have a daughter in law that can't have wheat or gluten. We use that flour for her. I even bake for her when we have get togethers.
Wups.. we were doing great until we got to the pickled beets.. argh……….!
Looks amazing!
It was a lovely idea; I enjoyed it❤
I like this time in the kitchen with Katie. You should have her do more “Cooking With Katie” segments! I also like to see a little more of “Cooking With Matt” segments too. Don’t get me wrong, I like the “Cooking with Tipper” segments too. That is what attracted me to your channel with simple Appalachian cooking back in 2022. But I also like the view point of Matt and Katie especially when they cook together. And while you are at it, throw in a little of Corry too!😊😊😊
You and family are so humble yall are so real no fake hopefully I or we me and my husband can meet yall we still have snow on the ground so pretty ❤😂😅😊
I love to watch you cook I love cooking homemade soup and chili on cold days ummmmm
Yea yea yea I know say it all at once but I see something else or hear something else I just have to commit sorry I'll try to do better ❤😂😮😅😊
Have you ever tried not baking the macaroni? It's already cooked, and the cheese melted. I never bake mine.
Praying for all. PLEASE help me pray for my family and my job and home situation. Love your videos
Oh Katie so excited you are using Redmond Salt, Redmond is just 30 miles up the road from where I live in Utah.
All looked delicious!
Doesn't get ANY BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tipper and Katy that dinner looks delicious and I think I'm going to try making g a meatloaf this weekend with mash potatoes.
, and Sunday for church im going to make macaroni and cheese . I hope it turns out like your did. Thank you for the video❤ patsy
Dear Tipper & Katie, when I got up this morning I wondered what I would fix for supper? Then I watched your video and this sounded like the perfect meal for a cold Maine winter night. Both the meatloaf and the mac n cheese are in the over, and I can report that my kitchen smells delightful! Can’t wait to dig in! Thank you so much for sharing!
Meatloaf is delicious I make mine with a little jalapeño chop up in it. I’m a spicy eater though ❤.
What is the first thing Katie (sp?) plans to eat when she finishes breastfeeding? 😊
I made meatloaf tonight bc of watching your video yesterday lol. I kinda wing it similar to a handed down Betty Crocker book and how my parents taught me and it’s not always exactly the same bc I don’t measure spices and sometimes we have peppers and sometimes not lol just depends but thanks for the idea it was a perfect comfort meal in this cold weather 🤗
Sweet video..Katie is such a dedicated mama!
I think I caught a glimpse of little Ira….cutie pie!❤
A video that y'all might enjoy, Matt, especially, is Simple Living Alaska. Today was trail cameras on a moose carcass (nothing gory), eagles and wolves, and some giant animals we don't have down here. Anyone who enjoys hunting, fishing, and food preservation will like this channel. God bless y'all.
Katie, I will shred a carrot in my meatloaf. You cannot tell it is in there, but it adds veggies in your meatloaf. And I know you still have a carrot or 2 in the garden
🧡🧡🧡👋🏼🧡🧡🧡
Katie is a natural like her mom in front of the camera. Great job Katie. You are very dedicated to eating so you can continue to nurse your baby boy and that is something not to many young mother’s would now days. You have our full respect for doing that to ensure your son is healthy. Both meatloafs look delicious. Y’all are eatin like kings!
Looks so yummy!😊
Good job, ladies! Everything looks delicious!!! 🥰👍🏻😋
Have you ever tried one pot mac and cheese? It's simple and so good. Cook your mac in enough milk to cover. Don't drain it. When tender add enough cheese of your choice to thicken it up. You can just cube the cheese – no need to grate it. Add some dry mustard and 1/2 stick butter and some salt and pepper to taste. I can't give you amounts because I don't measure when I cook. Put into baking dish and top with crushed Ritz crackers mixed with a little melted butter and bake until the topping is nice and brown. It comes out creamy and delicious with less pan to wash.
I thought ghee was butter.
Absolutely great that Katie is breastfeeding, best for babies.
Tipper, at this moment I am making your orange pull apart bread, for the first time.
My Grandma made potatoes like this and she called them whipped potatoes – they never got mashed ; )
Matt's finally getting home made mac & cheese!
I make that same Mac and cheese recipie except I use paprika with the dry mustard and garlic and a little powdered onion also, I also whip an egg into the half and half and it really sets up well.
I'm going to try thar meatloaf recipie! Thank you
I made meatloaf from your cookbook tonight for supper and my husband said it’s the best he’s has! Thank you so much!!!
I use plain pork rinds ground up. Eggs also to hold the loaf together. Keeps the carbs low.
Looks delicious. Thanks for the video. 🙂
Everything looks delicious! Thank you both 🤗❤️
Yum. Yum. Thanks Pressley family. Be blessed. 🙏 By adding the boiled potato water back into the whipped potatoes, you've not wasted some nutrients released during the cooking. Smart, frugal, and works to stretch whatever dairy might be at hand.
Heaven! I went to Dr on New Year’s Eve, yes, my physical.
I’m 55 and he told me I have to get the cholesterol down about 40 points in the next few weeks or I’m fearful he will put me on meds. I feel her pain!
We’ve got granny on the prayer chain at church and my lady’s Bible group.
Simply “Granny”.
Thinking of y’all on this COLD 🥶 VA morning!
Have you ever tired laverbread? It’s a Welsh delicacy. It goes very well with bacon or cockles 😍 an acquired taste for sure
You influencers, you! I just had to make this meal today. Although I make meatloaf way differently ( it’s all about how Mom cooked); I love my potatoes cooked like Tipper – really smooth and velvety!
That looked so good, and I wish I had some of the macaroni and cheese!
