Day 2 for Dena’s Tuscany Experience was wonderful. We started learning about the olive harvest and manually harvesting olives. We would later see these olives become olive oil and purchase the olive oil from this harvest.
We also visited:
– Podere Le Ripi for a tour, wine tasting, and lunch. This winery uses the moon calendar on how they manage their wine harvest. Secondly their cellar is super unique and uses gravity to help in the wine making process.
– Visited Montalcino’s historic city center with Francesco our tour guide
– Had dinner at La Locanda del Castello in San Giovanni d’Asso, inside a castle.
