Our first Wine Dinner of 2025! Thursday January 9.
We have the winemaker and owner, Lucio Gomiero, of Vignalta Estate of Veneto, Italy, here to lead the evening.
A good friend – amazing human being – and charismatic speaker on all things wine.
Lucio is also a lifelong student of the history and area of his hometown of Padua in Veneto – located about halfway between Verona and Venice. His estate is located just outside of Padua.
This is an area incredibly rich in history – as you will learn. Padua is the home to one of the oldest universities in the world founded in 1222.
Galileo and Copernicus taught and studied here. In 1610, Galileo observed the moons of Jupiter through a homemade telescope in Padua, marking the second phase of the Copernican Revolution. Wow!
This is also the land of Romeo & Juliet.
