In this video, we’ll be sharing a family recipe that’s been passed down through generations, straight from Naples, Italy 🇮🇹 This nearly 100-year-old recipe is a true labor of love and is sure to add a burst of flavor to your New Year celebrations!

SHRIMP FRA DIAVOLO RECIPE 👩‍🍳

Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 20 min
Serves: 4-6

Ingredients:

– 1 lb large shrimp (cleaned, deveined, tails removed)
– 1 tsp sea salt
– 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
– 4 tbsp EVOO
– 6 garlic cloves (sliced thin)
– 1 tbsp granulated garlic powder
– 1 lb linguine (optional)
– 1 can (28 oz.) San Marzano Tomatoes (hand crushed)
– 1 cup white wine
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 2 tbsp fresh cut oregano
– 1/4 cup fresh basil (hand cut)
– 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)

Preparation:

1. Heat 4 tbsp of EVOO in a large skillet. Add sea salt, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and parsley.
2. Add shrimp and sauté for 5 minutes on both sides.
3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, white wine, fresh basil, and both types of oregano. Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.
4. If desired, cook linguine in a separate pot, drain, and set aside.
5. Combine shrimp with the sauce over the cooked linguine or serve separately without pasta. Serve warm and enjoy!
