In our final vlog for 2024, we traveled to Amsterdam-Noord (The north side of Amsterdam), to visit a food hall we have never dined at before! Market 27 calls itself an “Urban Food Station” and we were excited to try as many international dishes as we could.
We also used this opportunity to look back on an amazing year of travel and vlogs together. We want to thank everybody who took the time to watch, like, comment, and (hopefully!) SUBSCRIBE throughout 2024. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Before I watch the video – "Urban Food Station" – someone with knowledge of "urban dictionary" thought, that mindset must be the basis of my cuisine [1]? Because, if so, my tastes would be mentally prepared to get insulted. And my allergy complex would get a complex immediately.
[1] The collective recipes, ingredient-variants thereof, and preparation methods of one culture.
Looking back, I like your humour, music choices, formats, storytelling. Looking forward, have a healthy 2025 the rest is secondary. AFAIAC you don't have to change the format and attitudes. Just better food, maybe? For your own well-being?

Yoghurt to cool down the hots? Have you seen episodes of the series "Hot ones" where an interviewee eats through chicken wigs spiced with increasingly hot sauce?
They usually have water and milk for cooling. That doesn't work, though. And so far, over years, nobody seems to have done their homework. You need to have a solvent like alcohol to free the pain parts in the tongue from the burning stuff, and can use sugar to prevent the attachment. Don't tell them. Don't go eat 1 million hotness if you have to drive home again 😉

So far, nobody from New York has commented about eating pizza with a knife and fork. Het maakt mij niet uit zolang je het maar lekker vindt. Sitting here in the Mojave Desert where we are expecting 350K people to celebrate New Year's Eve, I'd rather be with my family in Alkmaar but, alas, maybe next year.

A suggestion for a road trip: the former Yougoslavian Republic, it fell apart but it resulted in multiple countries each with a different attitude and kitchen (related but different).

That's a really nice overview of your videos. I love Ljubljana and the Baltics! If Nate made his sales bonus for the guitar job you might have budget to do Iceland in 2025? Expensive but so worth the visit! You need at least a week! Food wise there is a lot left to desire though! Culinary dishes to look forward to : Rotten shark, sheep head, little pieces of whale and deep frozen pizza for 25 Euro for a small size…

I was flabbergasted by the high prices for a normal citizen of Amsterdam not for the two rich tourists wh can spend a thousand dollar a day on their word trip. They won,t see me thee and these People talk iritable. Bye for good.
