    Income taxes. Housing cost. Transportation cost by providing insurance ranges and gas cost.
    Food cost. Just stick to groceries. People can figure out restaurants costs.
    The most important point is: income tax in Italy is higher than in the US and Canada. Therefore be prepared to pay more in taxes unless you are a millionaire in which case there is a special tax program for you. Housing unless you are renting or purchasing luxury real estate is lower. Grocery shopping is lower. Transportation is most likely the same as North America and other European countries. Health care cost is lower than in the USA. If you want private health care you will have to pay for it. Entertainment and travel is fairly comparable to other countries. What’s the benefit of living in Italy? Its climate, natural beauty, the arts, the food, the culture. If you select to live in southern Italy everything except taxes will be as much as 30% cheaper.
