  1. As a long time viewer, I loved seeing you enjoying Portland! I’m a little further south in Salem – but we have 3 or 4 food cart pods here that have some of the best food i’ve ever had!

I HIGHLY recommend Shaka Brah Hawaiian cuisine! their chicken teriyaki and their kalua pork is off the CHAIN!!

  2. Makes me giggle to hear you call them parks.. local secret.. we refer to our collections of food trucks as “Pods”… and now you know.

LOVE your content btw!! Thanks to your video on the return of Salty’s Sunday Seafood Buffet on the Columbia, I hosted my boyfriend’s birthday gathering there this September.

So, it lights my soul to see you back to take on one of the very best things about this city I’ve lived in the burbs of for 30yrs.

Someday, I hope you come back and make a run on the little known epic food scene that’s developed over the last 10 years or so just North of the bridge in the Couve (Vancouver, USA)!

  3. I call myself a Portland foodie! You have completely schooled me! Thank you 🙏🏾 I’ve had a few but not all ❤

  4. Also born and raised in PDX. Half the time I go to these carts 3/4 of them aren't even open. Not trying to be a hater, just my experience.

  5. I am blown away by the amount of food you can eat. I am 6' 1" 350 lb guy and I can't even come close to what you can do. LOL

  6. Most "Tourist-y" things, the majority of Portlanders will tell you to skip. Like absolutely don't go wait forever for Voodoo Donuts (they're fine, but not worth going out of your way for).
But every. Single. Portlander. WILL vouch for the Food Carts.
If there is ONE thing the rest of the world hears about Portland that we'll absolutely own with unadulterated pride, it's the Food Carts.

  7. Hey if your still around Oregon, Lincoln city does a really neat glass float scavenger hunt every year during the holidays. GL HF Dude.

  8. I live in Salem, but I'm so happy to see Portland get positive representation. The food in Portland is amazing 👏 The trucks are so fun. I have so many fond memories as a kid going to them😁 We have some truck parks in Salem now too. Born and raised in Oregon love seeing the state represented ❤

  9. Glad to have been born and raised here with amazing food. I'm also glad you started with Hawthorne Asylum!!! Used to go there after work everyday when I worked down the street!

  10. I live in Portland now and I feel like I would highkey be star struck to see my favorite food vlogger out and about! <3 Ty for helping me find a place to take a my girlfriend on our next date!

  11. My man is clearly opining for a TV show with these longer form videos with a narrated intro 😅 All the power to ya Mikey!

  12. Cheers man and thanks for the Portland love! One note, and it’s really not a big deal, but worth noting: Portland peeps never refer to them as “food truck parks.” We call them “pods” or just “carts.” Some of them kind of resemble parks (BJ’s Food Cartel in Beaverton) or occasionally are a permanent fixture within a built-in area that feels like a group of restaurants or outdoor food court (Prost Marketplace), but most are just gathered in parking lots or on sidewalks with no frills. Again, it’s not a big deal and I’ve got nothing but love for your work… just thought it was worth mentioning. Cheers! 🥂

  13. While technically not in Portland proper, BG Food Cartel in Beaverton is a huge pod with a heated family friendly outside bar, seating inside, and tons of choices. My family loves Amazing Gyro. We make the 20 minute drive from north Portland sometimes just to eat there. They treat us like family and feed us well. 😊

  14. Super Yummy! Various culture's cuisine! Mouthwatering! 😋Portland, here I come….!❤

  15. Food trucks in Portland are A++. Love goin to em everytime i go to Portland. Get Ghanan food, with Thai, and watermelon juice all in one place lol. And it's good food

  16. How many people looked at you weird after telling them "I'm traveling to Portland to show people how good it is". Many puzzled facing….

  17. It's funny to me how the map is so high-resolution that the pin dropped at 0:02 ended up at my least favorite exit ramp. That said, happy to see Hawthorne Asylum in the first ten seconds, and yes, Sure Shot is one of the top 3 burgers in the US. The Down and Out is one of the best specials he runs too, you lucked out.

  18. Thanks for visiting us in Portland. There really are too many food options to even fathom here. Maybe it's all the overcast and rainy days, we need lots of food treats to keep us going 🙂

  19. That airplane used to be where they served alcohol must be new haven’t been in a bit but nice touch to the asylum
