Borough Market is the worlds oldest food market. Borough Market is said to be 1000 years old and London’s best place to get some of the UK’s best food. Today we are trying London’s best street food to see if its worth the hype. Some of the popular places at Borough Market are Humble Crumble, The black pig, the bath dairy, and Ginger Pig. After that we leave and check out the British Museum and everything it has to offer.

  1. I live in London and not very far from Borough Market. I just realised I've been neglecting for far too long. Home blindedness has kicked in.

  2. British Museum….."how did they acquire all of this?" ummmmm it was effing stolen. Colonialism. Genocide.

  3. Where did we get all of that from…..
Some gifted, some given, some found, some 'taken', and some outright stolen and we need to give it back!!!!!

  4. You’re right, it’s not a Christmas market as it trades all year round and doesn’t pop up over Christmas only. 😊 Trading started on that site because the Romans built the first London Bridge back in the first century, but a market proper stated at the southern foot of a previous version of London Bridge roughly 1,000 years ago and moved to its present site (above) in 1756. When I first started working in the Borough and Bankside area of the London Borough of Southwark some 30 years ago, the Market was only open Thursday to Sunday. There has been a church on the site of nearby Southwark Cathedral since at least 1086 (when it was mentioned in the Doomsday Book), but there is a verbal tradition that a Christian community of nuns was located on the same site in the 7th century.

  5. I'm a foodie so this vlog is for me 💙🙌💙 Merry Christmas and much love from far western KY 💙

  6. A £5.00 donation to an amazing museum by a visitor is really good value. Why did you not donate. Most of our national museums are free. Don't be mean.

  7. Love your videos but may I make a suggestion. Finish what you’re eating first before adding any comments. Then you don’t need to put your hands in front of your mouth and the comments won’t be muddled.

  8. The UK acquired all that stuff by stealing it lol
Several countries are begging for it back…horrendous business.

  9. Sheet!!!
Looked good till I came to the typical `Harry Potter' bit !
I switch off here ,It`s SOOOOO disrespectful, like us comparing your White house to some Disney dump.

  10. The history of Borough market and the neighbouring Southward Cathedral dates back to pre-recorded history. The Romans noted (2000 years ago) that the area was a pagan religious site and so they built their own temple there, as was the Roman way. The early British held spring fertility rights there. The site retained its religious significance and eventually, through various iterations, became a Christian site and now, Cathedral. Likewise the Spring fertility rights eventually became an Easter fair, once banned as it became too rowdy. The Easter fair morphed into a market and into a wholesale vegetable market, conveniently placed just south of London Bridge, which for many years was the only bridge to the City of London. Borough Farmers Market started on the site about 30 years ago, using the space during the daytime, the wholesale market being a night market. A couple of the pubs have very early opening as they used to cater to the night market Porters. A good night out would end up with a breakfast and pint at the Market Porter pub.

  11. Raw milk IS great for you! Pasteurisation removes most of the goodness and only facilitates intense, poor quality milk production with low animal welfare standards i.e. it suits Big Ag. companies.
