I’m dining at every restaurant in Epcot’s World Showcase & today we’re checking out Monsieur Paul. Dining here costs over $200 & after an awful experience I will never be back.

  1. The moment I walked into a supposed $200 reservation and saw those tablecloth creases, I would asked for a refund. This seems like the biggest mark of trying to fleece people who don't really know what upscale dining is really like in any other context. If you can't spare somebody to iron the tablecloths, you aren't a nice enough restaurant to have them! This whole place looks less like a fine French restaurant and more like someone's mediocre wedding reception.

  2. And I purchased a 280 dollar bottle of cologne on yesterday.. definitely don’t feel bad about that purchase. After watching this video that’s way too expensive to be eating anything 😂

  3. For 195 bucks you shouldn't have to send anything back. Oh girl we where all disappointed for you!

  4. What occured to me about the lack of seasoning…are they catering to a retired crowd that they dont salt and pepper/season the food?

  5. You're giving a review for the food AND the dining experience. So when something is wrong with your food, you ABSOLUTELY should bring it to their attention. Let your viewers see how the servers/management handle it when something goes wrong.

  6. I’m wondering if the venue doesn’t allow for open flame candles? Having worked in event planning, it’s typical.
But that doesn’t excuse the TERRIBLE experience you had. You should have been partially comp’d; at the very least.
It didn’t appear that they cared too much about their plating or service.
    Bless you, hon.

  7. So wait if the next table does not eat gluten they won't serve it to anyone? How does them requesting low sodium effect your steak and lobster. Yeah, right.

  8. Truly refreshing to watch an honest WDW restaurant review. I get tired of the shills on YT.

  9. You can't really count the amuse bouche as a true one simply because it's supposed to be something the chef sends you to taste that is free. In a Prix Fixe meal, the cost of everything is included in the price and so it's not free, it's just covered by the price.

  10. The only way a restaurant and that includes the back of the house knows what the problems are is by people sending it back . Shelves are absolutely unacceptable their crew back there is nowhere close to doing their job in a normal medium cost restaurant let alone a high cost restaurant. And if your soup is cold and it should be hot, you have to tell them they do have a microwave back there. I am sure.

  11. I stopped going to Disney a long time ago. It's all so overrated and overpriced. For the money they make everything you eat should be mind-blowing in a good way.

  12. Apart from the truly awful food and dirty glasses it sounded like you were sitting in a motorway café 😭😭

  13. Fig jam is SO EASY to make! Any kind of jam is easy to make. What a disappointment. Great review, though 😊

  14. I’m with you…. I don’t send food back just because I don’t like it. I’m so glad I never went to that restaurant because I would have been pissed for the quality of food served for the price. I make a better cheese plate for I’m sure much less.

  15. If you have an Escoffier Cookbook (I have one) then you realize quite quick, that this is quite hohum, mediocre fare for high prices, designed for fast making and serving, even if the ingredients are of high quality.
FYI: In case you didn't know, Georges Escoffier is the legendary french chef; the undisputed Godfather of French "haute cuisine".

  16. As a chef…so many things were wrong with this meal. Presentation alone was awful. That signature fish dish looked like COD or sea bass and it was very overcooked. Those potatoes too. That fish appeared to be cooked ahead of when you ordered it and “held over” that was far from fresh.

  17. So sad but the ambient sound just destroyed your audio. Can't hear a darn thing. But as a Floridian, I can tell you that you wasted your money at anything
fancy or upscale" at Disney. Synonymous with boring, overpriced and shamefully gauche`

  18. Wow seems like as everything with Disney now cheap ingredients, sub par gourmet food. Everything has changed for the worse with this company, but prices keep rising. Thank you for an honest review.

  19. What an awful excuse. “People complained it was too salty before!” Don’t their chefs taste their food as they’re cooking? What a ripoff.

  20. I don't know why i watched this, as i am NOT shocked that anyone with taste would bother reviewing a tourist facade at a Ditzney resort, and be anything but disappointed. Le sigh.

  21. I can understand not putting much salt into a dish, but there should be some flavor from spices/herbs. The sauce for the steak should not have been poured so heavily over the top. Very tacky. What is absolutely blowing me away are the seafood shells, not once but twice; the ridiculous cheese plate; watered down martini; and lipstick stains on the wine glass. Totally gross and horrible. I get better looking and tasting food at my local family-owned cafe. You have proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that money does not equate good taste or good food. Sorry you had to endure this meal.

  22. As someone who has been a server, don’t be afraid to send things back. That’s literally our job as servers is to cater to the customer – you’re not inconveniencing them, or hurting their feelings. They didn’t make the food – the chef did. The chef should be held responsible… especially if there’s shells in your food. That’s a safety hazard.

  23. At a certain cost, the food I'm eating stops tasting good if I'm paying too much.
For example, a steak that's more than 50 bucks is gonna taste worse than a 30 dollar steak due to the fact that I know I'm overpaying. I won't be able to enjoy it because all I'll be thinking about is the cost.

  24. It's not that the photo is black and white…. Fine dining restaurants do not include photos on their menu

  25. This is French food with its soul sucked out, , , heavy, without inspiration or innovation, derivative at least 150 years out of date,
