Fantastic view!
Love the colors 💛🧡❤️
…if you like something; buy more than one! I can identify with that!!!
LOVE the lamps!!!!!
So many interesting and beautiful pieces to look at. I especially love the charm and older pieces in the kitchen. The cabinets and the sink are just wonderful. What is the item on the wall below the kitchen window for? Some type of vent?
The home is a wonderfully curated midcentury decor. I love Robert Fodor's color sense and arrangement of objects. He is very knowledgeable and graciously informative.
I totally resonate with his love of dark, grained woods—it's very grounding! I've never heard it put into words like that; I appreciate that insight. Thank goodness he ditched law and found his passion! lol Cozy, refined and colourful. Fun episode.
This home is a mid-century furniture and art education. Beautiful!
The Tour was too long…Beautiful apartment and views.
Finally an intelligently executed mid-modern design! Overall I feel like East Coast dwellers do this so much better West. Thank you for sharing this unique, gorgeous space.
I like his collections and his style. Well done!
Is the bed accent pillow Joan Crawford lol?
I love the kitchen. So happy you did not get rid of that sink, too.
Beautiful home. The dining room furniture is particularly lovely
The WATER views speak to my SOUL!!!
Those lamps are "abnoxiously large" (lol), but make a statement. Can't take my eyes off them. I love his art and sculputure collections. Well done, sir.
Such a beautiful apartment, and a lovely curated collection of mid century items. I love that every item has a history and is so appreciated by the owner, I think that's what makes soulful designs. ❤
Deb here. A very put together apartment. Did I not see a tv?
不經意的舒服,比起那些精疲力竭的完美更好。
What an amazing collection of mid century art and furnishings. Everything goes together so well. Thank you so much for sharing.
Lovely tour. I love Robert's sense of color and shape.
Fantastic collection of furnishings and art. I really like the collection of Alexander Girard work of the sculpted figures and graphics. I'm a fan of Girard's work. I'm a retired graphic designer/illustrator. I also like Jim Flora's LP covers like Mambo Cats that I think you will like Flora's work. I'm an abstract painter now and my work is hung is some of the finest hotels in New York City and around the World and in people's personal collections. I appreciate your love for all things design. I grew up in a creative home. My father was a very well-respected designer in industrial, interior and architectural design and our home when I was a kid was all Eames, Saarinen, McCobb, Knoll, Risom, Nelson, Nakashima, Bertoia and several others. He knew some of these designers personally because he design directed four major companies in his career and supported these designers early on in the late 1940's through 70's by purchasing large amounts of their designs for commercial interiors he worked on. They would give him samples and some of which I own. I know Girard worked on a well-known New York City restaurant named La Fonda del Sol in 1960. My father in 1955 to 1959 was also an Advanced Stylist future car designer in Ford Lincoln Mercury's Dream Room. My dad would have loved your collection. He had several of the classic pieces that you have. At Ford my dad worked side by side with Alex Tremulis and George Walker and was taught by Richard Arbib and Edgar Roth in design school. In WWII he served as a Spec5 combat engineer in the historic 69th Infantry Division that broke the Seigfried Line and met up with Russian troops (East meets West) moment of the war. He worked side by side with the unknown at that time pop artist Roy Lichtenstein drawing maps and doing reconnaissance in the combat zones of France, Belgium and Germany. You could have talked for hours with him about your home. He was part of the greatest generation of dreamers and doers. The innovation and design was unlike anything else. I never talked to my dad about the earlier Bauhaus period and wish I had. Form follows Function.
Love the style
Perfection. Simply perfection. The best MCM collection I’ve seen.
I’m so glad they kept the older kitchen. It’s fabulous. Would look great if they restored the wood.
This old man talk too much ….
This episode of Homeworthy has been like a short course on the best of midcentury modern! what a great episode.
