Do you think it’s possible for communism and capitalism to truly coexist? Share your thoughts.
well, as a Chinese, communism and capitalism can coexist for some time, but eventully someone more evil in the communism party will take control, and the whole gov will become more and more extreme
I love to make holiday in Vietnam.what i dont like.bout Vietnamese. They're eating all kind of animals.i like it more. Northern part.near china. border.
congrats. you are in a real country…
Great video thank you from America
Ilya – "Russia tried to build communism for 70 years and failed." Student – "…you can't jump straight into communism". Then he goes on to talk about people wanting to achieve success. (referencing capitalist companies, AMAZING) If you can't make it work in 70 years, it's probably not going to work. It's never worked anywhere, it never will work. Capitalism isn't a utopian system, but when the people that try see the people who won't try get rewarded the same, it demoralizes them to give up. Also reference DEI.
Interesting viewpoint on Vietnam, most travel vloggers focus on what's s o wonderful about South East Asia in general – one youtuber from UK encourages young ppl to move there !! Thanks Varlamov !! 22:40
This video can be a huge misleading for people who don't understand much about the culture. I don't eat those things but know that Vietnamese won't be touching the rat meat if it from the city. They only eat the fields rats but who know some unethical vendor may try to sneak in some city rat 😂
17:33 Hey, Ilya. Great shirt! Did you get it in Vietnam? I want one.
these guys are ignorant, they only eat rice rats and he is there to make fun of them and stereotype. he go to tourist trap market in the city and looking for rat meats then film random rats outside in a building, then film some lady blocking rat off her house. i guess he assumed she full of rat and don't need anymore rats that night. this guy is a Russian cannon folder and looks like he haven't take a shower in decades. go back home before they put you in labor prison. who tf travel into other country and ask "do you people eat cats and dogs?" then when u see dogs meats then you ran away like a little girl. btw russian eat horses, fish semen , kangaroo, and all zoo animals.
Hey dude ! Just a small minority of the Vietnamese are eating dogs , cats and rats . Please don't exaggerate and stop generalizing to the whole Vietnamese people .
为西方利益服务的挑拨离间者又来了,为什么我总是被推送这个长相潦草到破坏心情的人的视频😅
Sort of reminds me of the book and movie, King Rat, where a guy in a POW camp is selling rat meat he says is deer meat.
❤straight to the point, nice Ilya.
Please stop mashing up music, your russian speaking and english voice overs together.
I am not probably only one who have hard times to listen…anything.
Just a minortity of the Vietnamese are eating dogs, cats and rats.
Please stop generalizing to whole Vietnamese pepple.
12:35 that is not alcohol. That is the wrong spelling of "Rựa Mận" a local dog dish.
There is too much fake information in this clip:
– First, the urban poverty line in cities in Vietnam is 78 USD. The number of poor households is 22,860 with a population of 91,250.
– Vietnam's poverty rate is 2.93%.
– GDP per capita is 4600 USD (2024), not 3400 USD. I'm pretty sure you're reading figures from 2018.
– In Vietnam, we don't eat rats; we eat field mice, which can't be caught in any big city. If you eat rats in Vietnam, you're an idiot.
– I just saw annoying sarcasm throughout the video. It's sad to see you had to waste time going to a country that you don't respect and talking nonsense about a culture you don't even understand.
I see that you are trying to stir up controversy, which is not a good way to build a valuable YouTube channel.
This video is from s hater. Not all Vietnamese eat dog, rat.
I can tell immediately that they hate Vietnam 🇻🇳.
This video is so ignorant and racist, they dramatised everything and not real at all.
As usual, the ignorant Russian thinking their brain are bigger 😂than
Context: I lived in the USA for my entire childhood. I am ethically Vietnamese and I live in Vietnam right now, have been for nearly 10 years. I speak the language fluently, much more fluent than the guy translating.
-Dog meat is not that commonly consumed in any part of the country (the other two even less so). Those that don't abhor the idea eat it once or twice a month. I am a Northern Vietnamese girl who follows northern traditions although I currently live in SGN, so I eat dog meat once a month as well. (Vietnamese people are not living in ignorance, they see where the meat they eat comes from and most often see fish and poultry slaughtered before cooking. That is why most Vietnamese people are not afraid of seeing dead animals being sold on market stands. Regarding the type of animals consumed, as a girl who grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood and went to Walmart twice a week once upon a time, I think it does not matter. Yeah, some people raise dogs as pets. Some also raise teacup pigs, cows, ducks, rats AS PETS too. That's not enough reason to discriminate against those who eat it. As long as people are eating animals lower on the food chain that are not endangered, I would say it's okay.)
-Marxism and Leninism and other communist texts are sometimes compulsory subjects in highschool and university. I would say it is "somewhat common" and joining the communist part (Dang cong san) is promoted to young kids starting from middle school. Communism is shoved down everyone's throats in subtle ways, some teenagers are proud communists like the older generation but most people choose to actively ignore politics. Also, the "Motivational communist quotes" are EVERYWHERE. You'd think this guy is overplaying it -he's not. It's everywhere, It's annoying and mostly ironic considering the western influence plastered all over the place as well. Yikes.
(I'm a Democrat, I don't like communism. If I said I don't like communism out loud in public, I'd get pretty nasty/strange looks, or I'd get yelled at by some old uncle.)
-Coffee! Oh sweet Lord, Vietnamese coffee is some of the best coffee in the world. There are many places that serve cheap, watered down coffee, that's why you avoid the big cafes and find a nice street stand or an old lady selling coffee from a cart that also has snacks, soap, raffle tickets, etc. Otherwise, go to Da Lat for the best Vietnamese coffee. You cannot go wrong with coffee Da Lat.
-Regarding LGBT+, it's not normalized at all. Vietnam's younger generation is more open-minded and following Korean fashion and skin-care trends, so it's considered normal for boys to be more feminine. With older folks…some kids get disowned, beaten, publicly humiliated – it's all very unfortunate. Most queer people prefer to keep it to themselves, no openly gay couples, very few openly gay people. Although no one is going to throw a fit if they see some rainbows on the street. It's a very precarious balance.
-Education: Yeah, the dream is to go to a western country to study and then stay forever. This is not exaggerated at all. In Vietnam there is a saying "chay chat xam" (literally "bleeding out grey matter") which means: the country's talented youth are leaving and never coming back. There are countless edu-businesses where the only services they provide partain to getting students to a western country and business is A-BOOMING; SAT prep, VISA advisory services, they help you with the educational and legal parts of studying abroad for an arm and a leg and your first born child. AND THEY MAKE SO MUCH MONEY IT IS CRAZY.
Eat dog and cat??????😢😢😢
Get out 🤬
curly head guy, before you want to say something you have to think carefully before speaking, short brain guy. always talk nonsense.
If you have a chance, please make a video about Son Doong cave, the largest cave in the world, in Quang Binh province. I like that cave but don't have the opportunity to explore it.
Why is it ok to eat cows but not dogs/cats? Because the dog licks your hand? Both are murder, and singling out dogs is pure hypocrisy.
