The cause of all this is Russia's illegal invasion and annexation of other countries' territory in violation of the UN Charter, which it swore to abide by sincerely when it joined the UN. All UN member states have the legal and moral justification to criticize countries that violate the Charter and to assist countries that defend their own territory.
The russians will not come to paris, turkey or india would be a more neutral negotiating ground maybe even Qatar.
