The depth's of the ocean's are almost exactly as the various height's above the ocean we referto as surface. When both the ocean's and the surface is that of only a crust some 60 kilometer's or mile's. Compared to the distance from the botton of the crust to that of the outer most surface of the core. The Total Surface including the ocean's are that of a drop of water in an empty bucket.

Anyone bothered to calculate the overall effect of ocean floor volcanism on global water levels compared to temperature and CO2 related factors? If I were to buy a beach house in the Pacific which one would pose more of a threat?

The following Summer was one of the coolest in decades here in California. Our rain season was the highest it has been in a long time. I don’t think it was mere coincidence.
I still think Tonga is as close to a super volcano we have ever seen in modern day. It obliterated the whole island.
I live roughly an hours drive north of Anchorage Alaska. It was loud enough, and lasted long enough, that I went outside to try and figure out what was going on. I thought Mt. Redoubt down in the Aleutian Islands had finally let loose with the "Big One" we are constantly being warned about. It wasn't till I got online and found out that the only thing it could have been was a 'new major event' in the S. Pacific. It didn't seem possible but, later the next day it was confirmed. Just incredible.
