"They're not politicians, they're cardinals." Oh, yes, they are, Mr. Fiennes. They are definitely politicians. Anyone who operates and thrives within a large organization, whether it's the Catholic church or a corporation or whatever, is a politician.
I love that Isabella mentioned her mum 😊
yes, they are politicians, but they are NOT MERELY POLITICIANS. one wonders whether the people involved in the making of this film have any profound and intimate knowledge of what Catholicism is all about.

Great film. I have already seen it twice and will see it again. Loved all the performances, including Diehz ("the Cardinal of Kabul") and the turtle.

Wowwwwww WHAT AN AMAZING MOVIE- SO BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND PORTRAYED. Ralph you never stop amazing me!!! I wish people were so not invested in watching a movie because popular culture makes you cool if you do rather than the content of the movie. This movie is sooo raw, so real, and strangely makes you feel content. Bravo!!!

Exquisitely shot movie. So many scenes are breath taking, however the scene looking down on cardinals with their umbrellas in the rain is just beautiful (look out for one character of note, which just completes the scene!)
Very good interview👍 fabulous movie!! IMO about human fragility and imperfection! Isabella you don’t need to keep reminding anyone yr mom was Ingrid Bergman.

It did feel long at times but that doesn't mean I thoroughly didn't enjoy the movie very much
Haven't seen the film yet but have heard that it's a transgender who becomes Pope or should it be Papess!!
Great film but the music was overwhelming and distracting for me. Even for close-ups where the tension could be seen all over the faces of the actors -we were already on the edge of our seats because of the intrigue. Sometimes less music is more inviting for the viewer. Otherwise we cannot lose ourselves in the film as much. I had the same issue with Berger's previous film, All Quiet on the Western Front. Its music was loud and omnipresent.

I read the book, and as all Harris' novels, it was wonderfully written. I look forward to seeing the movie. What a cast!
