This episode I take you to Fattoria Volmiano in Tuscany, a beautiful villa owned by the historic Gondi family. They make award-winning olive oil and we taste the first oil of the season. My husband and I have a typical Italian lunch in the sun with our toddler and our good friend Lapo. Then I speak with his mother, Vittoria Gondi, who cooks two traditional vegetarian dishes using vegetables and chickpeas in a beautiful rustic Tuscan kitchen.

Every day I get so many emails and comments asking why you can’t locate the music I use or find it using Shazam. I purchase music licenses for almost all the music you hear in my videos. I buy them them from various royalty-free production music sites and most of the time they don’t list the performer because it’s music made only for film productions with an audio watermark throughout the entire track, unless you purchase the single-use license for $50-100 per track. I use a lot of opera so often I’ll reference the opera but I won’t be able to direct you to a recording of that specific performance that you could stream or buy on iTunes or Spotify. Hope that clears things up and thank you for appreciating quality music.

  1. Wow, thank you for all your beautiful comments! 🥰 Quite a few people have emailed me wanting to know if they can buy Lapo’s olive oil. Yes, you can and they send it all over the world. You can email him directly here: info@fattoriavolmiano.com 🫒🫒🫒

  2. How cool! We were in Assisi on Day 1 of the G7 – che confusione per i turisti! Menomale, siamo stati lì anni fa perché la Basilica è stato chiuso in quei giorni per i turisti.

  3. Nice video Kylie 👍🏻. Surroundings, people, hospitality, joy, humbleness, mankind all these are there in their purest form. Very nice. Actually agriculture is the purest and best profession in my view. Simple and healthy , wealthy countryside living is my favourite. Far from the madding and greedy crowd indulge in useless and hollow rat race.
    ❤ love from India 🇮🇳 👍🏻🙏🏻

  4. Just another incredible episode!! What an epic farm house kitchen. You have a way of making one feel a part of what you do and present.
Kylie, I wish you all the best for your upcoming labor and birth. Another very special journey about to happen. From a midwife to a mamma having her 2nd baby…..most often a very different and hopefully quicker process 🙏 . I will be thinking of you as the time comes closer, sending you positive thoughts and an incredible healthy experience. Exciting ❤

  6. Heart warming ❤ how lovely it must be to be in such a beautiful place with such rich history. How nice to learn from wonderful people and share a wonderful meal.

  7. I would like to purchase some olive oil from your friend …..but I could not get the address ….can you give it to me please, I live in England and would need it to be shipped…….xx

  8. Kylie, well done! This episode was truly spectacular! ‘So charming. Your dessert looks ‘pastry-chef’ quality. 👏🌹

  9. i learn a lot about culture and elegance from you, and take in from your casual elegance. It is also very calming to watch you, your family and mates. It is like watching an elegant version of "Friends" the tv series. I watch Friends and other series like Friends to feel calm and chill. Your videos, I feel, has the same if not more effect on me.

  11. If there is a toddler in the kitchen you do not leave a panhandle protruding over the edge of the stove as we saw here, all handles to be turned inward. I saw the overhanging handle immediately and it alarmed me. Surely these two experienced cooks should know this.

  12. Kylie, your video this week moved me to tears because I could feel the ❤❤❤ and joy, thinking you really do have a beautiful life 🎉

  13. Beautiful episode Kylie! I was wondering how the dried chickpeas was cooked in an hour or so?? because it usually takes couple hours after being soaked overnight if dry.

  14. But I did not see, she put some chickpea in the soup or not ? Did not understand and then the chickpeas how to eat?

  15. I loved this video. Growing up, I spent countless hours in my best friend's kitchen with her Mother, Annette, and her Grandmother, Julie. Julie was a robust woman who loved to cook. We would sit around the table and watch her prepare the best Italian meals. Julie and Annette both had a great sense of humor, so there would always be a lot of laughter. There was always great conversation, too. We'd tell family stories. These are the fondest memories of my life. To this day, one of my favorite things to do is eat a great meal with friends and family over good conversation. I like to spend a long time at the table. Blessings to you, Kylie, for a memorable holiday season. Mangia!

  16. Documentary level video, so informative, historical, who doesn't want to hear of Catherine de Medici. What an enigmatic family that was. I tried to grow garbanzo/chick peas/ cece this year in the garden. I will try again. I would love to grow alcaparras (capers)

  17. how does the spring sink work? never turned off? does the water just recycle back through the groundwater? do tell.
