⭐️ Lentil pasta or pasta with lentils is a nutritious, tasty, and wholesome Italian recipe (pasta e lenticchie) where the lentils and the pasta are cooked together in one pot.

It’s a perfect main dish for lunch or dinner, and the recipe is very easy. In addition, it’s kids-friendly and contains all the macros to keep you healthy and satiated.

⭐️ Ingredients
2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 medium carrot finely chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 sprig rosemary or thyme
2 bay leaves or sage
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup lentils green or brown, dry
10 cherry tomatoes halved
5 – 6 cups vegetable broth
2 cups ditalini pasta or other short pasta like penne, ditaloni, conchiglie, or rotini
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 handful parsley finely chopped

  2. I like your energy. Thank you for sharing. I was searching for a way to put spaghetti and spaghetti together and this is perfect because I can pour the lentil base over the spaghetti or add it as you did.

    The only minus:
    Having you stare at me felt like unbroken eye contact which made me very anxious…as in my heart rate as increased significantly.

  3. I first tried this pasta at my friend's Christmas dinner and even though I usually love nonveg meals, this one being completely veg was very enjoyable and delish 😋
    So I looked up recipes online to make it at home and found this one to be the most authentic 👌🏽
    Sometimes I do add sliced grilled chicken breast 😅 to make it more filling for my kid.
    But overall, definitely one of my favorite dishes 😊

  4. Ok, so I was a bit unsure how good this would taste, but I had all the ingredients in the kitchen and was looking for a meal idea with the little I had. This was so delicious! I added some more seasonings to it because I didn't have much brooth left. it was a simple, quick (might I add) recipe! Thanks for sharing this!! I will do this again!

  5. Just made it yesterday but I use Pomi tomato pasatta , never tomato paste. Also use rosemary but oregano would be good.
