I always say that the best way to get to know a city is to get out on foot and explore! Cairo is a chaotic city, but it’s not unapproachable. We head to the top of Cairo Tower. From there, all of Cairo is laid out before us. To the east, and right below us, we see large high rises and grand hotels right along the banks. To the west, through the haze, we can barely make out the distinctive shapes of the Pyramids.

  1. I have never thought of going to Egypt. I felt like it’s too intimidating for some reason. These two videos make me feel differently about Egypt. I can’t wait for the next video!! Absolutely excellent work here Tyler!! Plus you and Jessica are so likable!

  2. A University should hire you as a guest speaker, Tyler, to show these vlogs and share your experiences in Egypt. The quality of your vlogs; the editing and narration, is university course material!

  3. Jess: it’s good to Get your lay of the land, and just get a birds eye view

    One second later

Tyler: It’s a good way to get your lay of the land and just a Birds eye view

    Oh men😂😂😂😂😂😂

  4. OMG can’t wait to actually watch this? My daughter has gone to work and I DARE not watch this without her! Oh well something to look forward to this evening! 🤩

  5. I never have to look at currency convertirs cuz I use an index card that i make a cheat sheet. $1-$10 then $15, $20, $30 etc. Quicker to use.

  6. Tyler I’m so impressed! Your « vlogs » are so professional. I love them so much! Thank you! Can’t wait to watch the next one !

  7. Totally agree with the cascade of compliments regarding the professionalism of your video. However, I most enjoyed your ability to laugh at yourself and your fish out of water incidents. Those are the memories that stick and bring joy in the retelling. Senior traveler here.

  8. I don’t know why these Egypt videos have been making me so emotional 🥲
“We are all far more alike than we are different” 😭😭😭 👏🏼♥️

  9. Your and Jessica’s videos are the only ones that I still consistently watch every time one is uploaded. Been watching for so long now, that it feels like I know you guys. Jessica will know what I’m talking about when I say you guys are my comfort watch!
This Egypt series is stunning so far! Can’t wait for the rest! All the love ❤

  10. As an Egyptian who have been following you and jessy for years and years, this series really hits a spot. I love seeing my country through your eyes.

  11. THANK YOU TYLER AND JESSICA FOR YET ANOTHER BEAUTIFULLY MADE VIDEO ❤ I feel like I switched to the travel channel and was absolutely mesmerized by how wonderful this video was filmed.

  12. Wow – this series is pure magic!! Incredible footage, awesome editing, and Tyler – the storytelling you've woven throughout is an absolute delight. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us!!

  13. Legit, I hope you pitch this series to the Travel Channel or something like it. The quality, narration, etc. is so much better than your average YouTube vlog. Don't get me wrong, I love a good YouTube vlog, but this is next level. Thanks for sharing with us!

  14. I sooo needed to hear your opening commentary regarding our commonality and differences and the beauty of travel. You may have just talked me off the ledge for the week. This series needs to be nominated for a Jammie – well- this series and the use of tiny Tyler in vlogmas.😅

  15. And this my friends was why it took so long to do, made so beautiful of 2 souls together making life memories ❤and in love wholeheartedly ❤❤

  16. One thing I really appreciate that you do (both of you) is you let us see when things aren't going quite as smoothly. The camera ticket issue wasn't that big a deal, but it did happen and you sharing about it makes me feel not quite so bad when I get flustered by traveling mishaps. And I totally agree with another comment made here that these should be considered a docu-series. I'm glad you paid for that camera ticket!

  17. Wow Tyler, this is beautiful!!! I’m in awww of your work!

On another note, I’m the idiot, not you lol! Here I am picturing sand and camels everywhere but yet, there’s an actual city 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I swear I’m actually educated lol!

  18. Love the video. I was in Egypt over 10 years ago and your footage brings me right back. I loved the city and the people. Such a wonderful experience.

  19. Such an important point about turning your data roaming on! I travel a ton for work, so I had to learn that pretty quickly. Just make sure you turn it back off once you're back in your home country, especially if you live near the border with another country.

  20. Me every time it goes 🎶 the best is yet to come!🎶 😭😭😭😭😭 this is why we travel. To make memories with each other and grow together. The song just hits.

  21. Thanks Tyler! I’m a World History teacher and we learn a lot ancient Egypt and my students love to learn about the modern places they we learn about history. This will be helpful explaining a few things to them!

  22. Population 10 Mil?!! Ten years ago maybe. Cairo is a huge conglomerate of 22 Mil population right now. You could've maybe googled it before uploading?

  23. Wow amazing footage 😮and amazing video to watch and hear. Tyler you are very interesting and intelligent. Well done! ❤
