  4. fun fact that "fascist axe" is actually… a fasces, where the idea of fascism gets its name 🙂 it's something that was used all the way back in Rome, they had the pomerium, basically a boundary to the metropole of Rome which was super respected, like, in the legend it is the "justification" per se for Romulus killing his brother, as during the augury they disagreed, his brother came over to argue and when he crossed the pomerium with a weapon he had well, in the eyes of the founder of Rome, assaulted or breached the would be city(mind you it was literally just a hill at this point, they were arguing over which hill was better, and he killed his brother because his brother crossed a trench he built lmao) this law was then so respected throughout Romes history due to such a signifcance of well, if you'd kill your own brother for crossing it armed it must truly be a border of the city, one which not to cross, and the pomerium stayed for a long while, but the fasces ties into this because, it is literally an axe within a bundle of sticks bound together, but, you can easily unbind it and make it no longer a weapon, then when you leave, rebind it and you have your axe, the pomerium is insanely interesting so I'd actually give it a bit of research if you're into all that jazz, heck there's even stories, so the pomerium wasn't a wall, it was a trench dug in the ground then filled and you'd have markers every 5-10 meters to show where the pomerium was, as during the time of Rome the pomeriums border changed a lot and would sometimes intersect parts of the city, so you'd have the "border" of the city of Rome, running between 2 guys houses lmao, but there are stories that the pomerium was so well respected that after a victory a soldier was leading an elephant into the city to parade, and he couldn't get it through the stone gate, and they tried and tried and tried, when in reality, to the sides of the gate on both sides, was empty space, he could've easily walked it around, but he would be breaching the pomerium if he didn't pass through the GATE, sorry for the yapfest.

FYI many "romaboo" I'll call them countries do still use the fasces as a symbol, as it represents many things brought together to form a powerful and deadly weapon, it represents bringer together individual pieces so that the whole may be a weapon of war, heck, take a closer look when watching stuff in the US senate/congress, there's fasces on those walls, we also utilize their idealization of the eagle, the US may be founded on many post roman era European cultures, but our founding fathers looked to Rome for inspiration.
