  2. Good to see Ed Lee getting some well deserved respect now that the Netflix show Culinary Class Wars is a hit. Of course, anything that Bourdain narrates is gold

  3. Um…latitudinal coordinates measure distances north/south while longitudinal coordinates measure distances east/west. Places with the same latitude are the same distance from the Equator and will tend to have similar climates, places with the same longitude will generally not. North America and Korea do not have similar longitudes.

  4. From what I have seen through studying food history is that it's all fusion really. Foods and flavors have been traveling throughout the world with the help of trade, exploration, and conquest for all of history. Noodles started in Asia and tomatoes came from the Americas yet spaghetti is seen as Italian. Cooking is fusion

  5. The food looks so good but it seems odd to me that almost all of it is not eaten on screen. It's kind of anticlimactic to watch everything get prepared and then it just sits there uneaten. That was one of the things I liked most about Anthony Bourdain's various shows, he got in there and ate the food and he would describe the experience so well it was almost like sharing the table with him. This definitely leaves me hanging.
