Question: Washington State Columbia River Valley…It has volcanic ash in the soil from the eruption of Mt St Helens in or about 1980. What does that do to the wine Also, Is it possible the the Columbia River Valley is actually a desert They pipe in most of the water they need. What does that do to the production of say Reisling from Cte St Michelle?
I thought all wine was vegan friendly; however, a friend of mine who is vegan (I am not) told me this past weekend about a vegan wine he likes. He explained that wineries could use fining agents somewhere in the process which could be milk, animal or fish proteins. So is there a way to tell if wineries are using this method?
