Today we took a classic Italian recipe and turned it into a delicious vegetarian meal using plant-based sausage! Check out the full recipe and links below:
Full Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Jar Pirro’s Marinara Sauce
1 Package of Beyond Meat’s Hot Italian Sausage
1 White Onion
3 Large Multicolored Peppers
3 Cloves of Garlic
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Directions:
1. Heat one tbsp. of olive oil over medium heat
2. Cook Beyond Meat Sausages in the pan until evenly browned on all sides, set aside.
3. Crush and Chop Garlic.
4. Slice onions and peppers into even slices.
5. Add onions and garlic to the pan and saute.
6. Add sliced peppers to pan and additional tbsp. of olive oil if needed.
7. Cook Peppers and onions until soft.
8. Turn heat to low, add Pirro’s Marinara Sauce, and stir.
9. Slice sausages and add to pan.
10. Simmer until sauce begins to bubble.
11. Garnish with Parmesan and serve.
