Idk anything about the Mob, but I'll always remember my Grandfather's story. In Vegas (early 70s), he saw a little old lady with literal buckets of $$$ walking on Freemont. She was going to a different casino. Two idiots knocked her over and stole the $$$. LVMPD stood there for a minute. 90 seconds later, casino security and "security specialists" grabbed the muggers and helped the old lady into the next casino. Two minutes later, her $$$ was returned. The muggers…. Idk.lol

These guys stayed in the neighborhood and protected its people. The government gets our money, and they move out. But they create jobs! Just a stat Elon talked about. Something over 450 federal agencies. Unbelievable!
Correction: they went after you because you crossed the line when you started appropriating their gas taxes. Skimming from legitimate businesses, construction companies, etc. is one thing, but threatening the financial integrity of the state is another thing. Never mess with the government, everyone else is fair game.
The world would be better off if the mafia still existed. Back then, there was still respect.
