  1. Langhe Nebbiolo is definitely one of the best ways to drink very nice wine on a budget. I’ve had the Langhe Nebbiolo Produttori Del Barbaresco, a little more fruit notes than some other nebbiolos, but just very delicious

  2. We were just in Piedmont this past May and visited three different wineries. My wife and I met up with an old friend who is a wine manager at a shop in Telluride so he set up the tastings. I would love to have your opinion on these three. As a novice, we enjoyed all three. We visited Francesco Boschis, Giacomo Grimaldi, and Cantina del Pino. Thanks

  3. I love Barolo and barbaresco. But they are getting very expensive. So nice of you to make this review. I will look for some of these wines. Especially the last one.

  4. Langhe can deliver fun and delicious wine but i never drank One that could rival with a Barolo or a Barbaresco. Drank the Vajra Langhe recently….fun and delicious once again. Missing the Bairrada episode 😉

  5. I rather drink Dolcetto or even Barbera over Langhe tbh. also almost all Nebbiolo vineyards have Freisa mixed in them, sometimes even up to 20%

  6. Dr. Horkey, another great video. Wish those wines were available to us in Ontario. Hey what are you wearing on your wrist? Are you a watch geek?

  7. You're 100% on point with Barola being on the expensive side; I try to keep it to only good occasions to grab a bottle for family coming in; but this was a good perspective on alternatives. Cheers man. – Cam

  8. I had already two bottles of Monchiero, both of them where excellent with the outstanding 2016 Monchiero Barolo Comune di Castiglione Falletto beating a lot of much more expensive competition at 93/100. Really can recommend that producer for great PQR in Piemonte

  9. nebbiolo grapes are soooo underated. we drink them regularly and for me baralo, barbaresco, and langhe offer great value compared to what a good cab costs in america. havent been able to wrap myself around the barbara de asti yet

  10. Even these wines are kinda expensive here in Brazil, and many of the ones I've tried deserved a little time in the cellar. I had the 2020 vintage of the Produttori de Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo and thought it was delicious, even though the alcohol jumped out of the glass. It required an hour and a half to soften.

The GD Vajra is available here for something like U$60.

That was a nice tasting, by the way.

  11. I like almost all the wines from Piedmont. Langhe rosso…is a go to.Barbera too. also had a Grignilino.. and loved it ! And like the whites from Piedmont as well!! I’ve had a blends with high amounts of ruche too…. maybe it had a bit of Frescia in it too.
