  1. Wow, I am SO grateful for the response on this video!! To be honest, I was a bit scared/shy to speak about my culture, but after seeing all your nice comments, I think I'll keep doing it 🙂

If you want more local French tips, you should watch this video on how to recognize a good croissant: https://youtu.be/Wc0INHeMOMs

  2. When we visited Paris, we were expecting the bread to be amazing but we didn't find that. Also, we bought a bottle of white wine Pouilly Fume for €38 in a restaurant, and omg, best wine we've ever had. When we got back home UK, we bought the same wine (slightly different label design) for £12 in the supermarket and it was dreadful. We've heard the phrase, "The French keep the best wine to themselves", and we whole heartedly agree, lol

  3. How dare you: "This is France too!". Go and see what is happening in New Caledonia… Tragique le colonialisme quand ça vous tient!

  4. The best part about Paris is leaving it and go to a mid-size city in the country side that has none of these problems, except for Bonjour that is needed everywhere.

  5. Great video. I have been to Paris more than 20 times. A lot from Australia! It's a truly amazing city. My favorite. Thanks for sharing you insights and enthusiasm.

  6. If you are planning to give this country a berth, make it as wide as possible.

  7. I didn't expect to like Paris so much when I went, but there's just something about the city. It's so beautiful, I didn't even have amazing food everywhere (baked goods yes all amazing) but I still loved being there and the fact that everywhere I looked there were beautiful buildings and scenery. I walked different neighborhoods and still it all felt like a movie. Can't wait to go back!!! Thanks for the tips and this channel! <3

  8. When she was about to mention the language app i swore i thought she was gonna say Duolingo 😂 i panicked so hard for some reason like "crap the bird found me again" 😂😭

  9. Just curious do French people know the language of all surrounding countries? I work for an airline and decided to go to the Netherlands on like a 24 hour notice because there were so many open seats. And the locals seemed annoyed I couldn't speak any Dutch. You could travel to the US not knowing a word of english and 99% of people would be excited to help, I don't get the hostility.

  10. To explain (and not excuse), Americans who travel within the U.S. think that when people do not understand what they are saying, they assume that person simply didn't hear what was said; so they repeat only louder. If they haven't traveled much outside of the US, they apply that same logic.

  11. My absolute favorite bakery is Poilane on Cherche Midi, 6th arrondissement, Paris.
