Ingredients:
1. 1 tsp ghee
2. 2 tomatoes, chopped
3. Half an onion, chopped
4. 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
5. Salt to taste
6. Pinch of oregano, chili powder or flakes, and black pepper powder
7. 1 tsp honey
8. Handful of chopped basil
9. Wholewheat bread
10. Cheddar cheese slices
11. Butter
Instructions:
– Heat ghee in a pan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
– Add the chopped tomatoes and salt. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring often, until the tomatoes break down completely.
– Season with oregano, chili powder or flakes, black pepper powder, and add honey. Stir well.
– Toss in the chopped basil leaves. The filling is now ready.
– Make sandwiches using wholewheat bread, cheddar cheese slices, and the tomato-basil filling. Apply butter to both sides of the sandwiches.
– Toast on a tawa until golden and crispy. Serve hot!
