Poor Les just want his son to be like him , but his son is so disrespectful and spoilt the fool insists on acting like a moron! i just hope he does it for the cameras. He doesn't realise he has a grate dad.
So they have a backup generator that will run the store, only it doesn't start automatically the way most of these larger systems do and switch from mains to backup. They have a largish server that runs the shop and they don't have a UPS ( Uninterruptible Power Supply) that many home businesses have that will keep the server going in a blackout. Sounds like whoever is handling the computers and the business know nothing about computers and backup systems.
Not only that but anyone with an ounce of knowledge about generators knows that they need to be started, run and tested regularly.

Les asked Seth if he needs any help, Seth denies it and later complaints about Les not helping him;
Imagine in 2024 that store would have been looted as soon as the power went out.

She had 3 months to come back for her TV and she came two days after it expired… What kind of an idiot does that? Especially since she obviously knew it expired.
