Shrimp scampi is an Italian-American dish that’s simple and super delicious. Shrimp are sauteed in a garlic, lemon, butter, and white wine sauce and topped with lots of fresh parsley. The flavors all go together perfectly! I hope you enjoy this garlic shrimp scampi recipe!

Shrimp Scampi Ingredients:
-1 1/2 pounds extra-large shrimp – We used u26 shrimp.
-6 garlic cloves minced
-3/4 cup white wine
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-3 tablespoon unsalted butter
-juice of half lemon – Plus more on the side.
-1 teaspoon kosher salt
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-black pepper to taste
-crushed red pepper to taste
-1/4 cup fresh minced parsley

Instructions:
1. Mix shrimp, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
2. In a large pan over medium-low heat saute the garlic in the olive oil and butter.
3. After the garlic turns lightly golden add the wine, turn heat to high, and bring sauce to a boil for 3 minutes.
4. Lower heat to medium and add the shrimp to pan. Saute until cooked through (about 4-6 minutes).
5. When shrimp are finished turn off the heat, add parsley, and lemon juice. Stir together and taste test. Adjust salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if required. Enjoy!
