I worked for a semester in the American University of the Caribbean, in a town called Les Cayes. I was shocked by the cruelty Haitian displayed against animals. I remember being in a highway from Les Cayes to Port Au Prince ( the capital) This is a 5 hour ride. We had the misfortune of being in the road behind a truck transporting alive goats. The poor animals were hanging upside down with their legs tied in a bundle. THis is a bumpy road and the poor goats kept bumping against the sides of the truck. When I commented about it the Haitians response was " They are just animals".

I hadn't seen this segment till today eating pets very true if I'm correct I remember latter part of the '70s earlier part of the '80s in the news I don't remember if it was ABC CBS NBC that's when I used to watch those stations before TV was different from now news were different from now no cell phones none of that so I saw it in the news I won't say what group of people but it was in the news people raising puppies dogs for food poppies were premium because their meat was more tender and I remember this if I'm not mistaken around the area of LA county Alhambra area if you do your homework and can check the news way back then you'll find that people were doing this and I don't know if they're still doing it but they were there it broke my heart when I saw the puppies that were being raised for just that.
