Keep the carpet , it’s very echoey without it, also you can just shake the carpet outside and because it’s nylon you can wash it outside with a hosepipe and dry over the line
Most eriba peeps use gas which works best off grid for gas
Make it like a gypsy wagon. Those are always beautiful and made from recycled materials.
if your battery is completely full at 1kwh it will charge your car 1% and not 3%
I would take the carpet out and put laminate down as it is easier to clean in such a small space like a camper van or caravan
I have a caravan and would agree that I feel like it’s the best of all worlds. You have your home behind you and can still drop it off and drive around to nearby places with an easy to park vehicle. It’s tricky to park but it just takes practice. The trick to a smaller caravan is to keep things simple and avoid clutter whenever possible. Have an awesome time with it and I look forward to the build videos. Not sure if you have thought about it but as a Tesla owner as well the 12v plug in the Tesla has quite a high output and can be used with a good converter to power your basic caravan electrical! You are literally driving a MASSIVE battery bank so utilize it to the fullest.
Great vlog, excellent info on the power station, I really like the fact you tried over a few weeks in different situations really thorough thanks
Ever thought of trying an e axel off the shelf caravan regeneration? They also do jockey wheel electric motors to move a caravan.
Holy crap, this like a 17 minute DJI power station commercial! 🥴
Id recommend fitting a motor mover to your caravan if youre not to good at the reversing like me. Also surprised your fridge doesnt run on gas, most caravan fridges do.
if the power station is 1kwh, ignoring losses, then you are going to get ~4miles – you'll know your miles/kwh
Omg I need one of this power station!!!
One big ad! Rubbish
Sweet set up , plus new types of vlogs great idea
It is again simply long advertiesment :-(.
Interesting but….
The fridge won't pull 110w continuously, it'll be on a thermostat to activate the compressor.
I love your vision for the outside. It currently looks perfectly presentable. I would concentrate your time and resources on making the inside and outside(awnings etc) more functional. As far as the flooring, I’m with you that carpeting is more comfortable but less cleanly. I would go with some sort of laminate and throw rugs that can be shaken outside.
I love the proposed colour so the two vehicles match. Ditch the carpet and put in the lino so you can sweep and wash easily, but if you want the warmth of carpet in the winter, lay down a bath mat. It’s washable and comes in any colour you can think of. Happy caravanning! 🚘
When travelling with the EV and caravan combo, how would you get on at charging stations?
Most of them seem very small to me.
Unhitch the caravan to recharge?
Hi having had a caravan there is 2 things your missing. It's a set of extended wing mirrors .you them by law
We love our electric campervan but an EV + caravan combo makes a lot of sense for the type of travel you're describing. If you want to wild camp loads like we do, an electric campervan's great, but if you want to stay at campgrounds and use them as a base for a few nights or more to explore the area, a caravan's much better suited to that.
We can also use our house battery to charge the traction battery of our electric campervan if we're ever really in a pickle. We haven't needed to yet (though we have gotten close a few times 😅), but it's great to have the option to get us to a charging station or someplace with electricity
Ha ha, I had to chuckle at your calling the third prong on a cable an "earth." Here in the US, we call it the ground prong. Just another interesting linguistic tid bit based on where people live
Oh crap this makes me want to buy a power bank so badly 😅
Regards to the fridge in 12 V. Because they’ve got such a high draw, the older fridge is like what have in your caravan.
Will Only allow to use the 12 V whilst the vehicle is charging it also the 12 V on older fridges doesn’t tend to get a fridge cold but just helps maintain it. It’s more used for whilst in transit not to run the fridge hence while you’re plugged in on the move.
What happened to Jack and Finn the twins? Something happened in India that caused them to break away from youtube.
I love power stations. They are so handy. Also definitely take out the carpet. Replace all the lights with LEDs.
8 miles…. amazing
Infinite Power! 😀
Replace window curtains and throw pillows.
We have a self-converted, electric 2013 VW Crafter, and it turned out, it fits our full-time van life perfectly. But I totally see the point of a caravan.
And this is why your have no money, I’m sorry guys but you can’t have it all. I know it’s hard and it’s great you both have ambition and I admire that. But the reality is this. You have son now and travelling is still gonna be fun, but financially if you want to get your family home Bulit try stay in Costa Rica until it’s Built and get your son settled. You can do other content in Costa Rica maybe show us more about the local people etc. I wish you guys the best. But you can’t have it all you need to be more financially responsible now. Good luck.
Your carbon footprint is awful and the amont of rare minerals you use is very questionable! Your electric flirtation is pretty self absorbed, look at me!
Is it not a three way fridge? 12V, mains and gas.
You are the only person that makes ads interesting
It is way more expensive in Germany, so makes no sense for 1000€…
