In this episode I explore the city and food of Florence, the capital of Italy’s Central Tuscany region and the birthplace of the Renaissance. Florence is a beautiful city with Renaissance art and architecture by famous Florentine artists like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botticelli to name a few, and plenty of monuments, galleries and museums to visit like the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and the Pitti Palace. Through exploring the Renaissance art and history in Florence, one truly begins to appreciate the importance of the Renaissance movement in modern human history, it influences much of the way we live life today! I also try some of the traditional Tuscan cuisine like the Bistecca alla Fiorentina (florentine steak) and the panino sandwich made with delicious schiaccata bread. Delicious!

    Although I enjoyed your video, you went to the most touristy of tourist spots.

    If you look at the paintings during the Rennaissance period, majority of them are about religion ✝️ 🖼 You're referring to post impressionist paintings when majority of them were not about religion.
