I was obsessed with Petit Fours as a child. If i remember there are small French patisserie they supposed to be eaten with your fingers.
It's probably the first finger food dessert created.
I'm unsure if this was created for Marie Antoinette .
They normally have marzipan on the outside (at least they used to have in the 80s and the 90s).
Do I normally very beautiful and also are usually the last stage of the afternoon tea. It's literally the dessert.
Love love this video 😍
Just realised i eat Petit Fours almost every day 😅 (its common here).
Not the glazed ones but everything else here.
We do use french etiquette a lot , but specifically for afternoon tea we do use rhe English etiquette.
Our grandmothers used ro taught us how to behave in cocktails, soirées and afternoon teas.
Portugal, Spain, France, Netherlands, Germany, we're used to it., probably due to ancestry. We learned all of this just like we learned ro was our teeth. Also elbows in the table is something we learn as soon as possible.
Good manners are indeed, good .
You are so classy. The kardashians can learn from you. It’s such a pity that etiquette gets lost in so many ways.
Etiquettes on eating a burger please.
Lol, you can't buy class 😊
I truly ‘am flabbergasted when people wave their cutlery around when talking! It really is ghastly! I think to myself, doesn’t this person feel uncomfortable doing this!🙄🙄
No licking off your utensils! OMG- the fact an adult would do this… while being filmed, no less! 😱
There is definitely some arrested development of the table manners here 😂
That video of Kyle is ghastly! OM 😮her behavior is like Eliza Doolittle in ‘My Fair Lady’, before she was polished up…pretty, but so low in etiquette/mannerisms.
Money don’t buy education, is something comes from your family
Good manners you learn in your home, from your parents.
😂
When I watched that I felt funny that so many things she did bothered me. I thought it was preconceived opinions…but now that you've broken it down, every move grated on me. I went to finishing school, not a flex, they were much more affordable back in the 80s. Just I don't think Billionaires care anymore…I think in England they might, but in America, they see wealth as well, "F U money" sorry to be crass…but yeah, THE STEM IS THERE FOR A REASON lol and whomever set this up…a teabag dangling? I can go to an average tea room and they wouldn't have that. Wild that the set crew spent ZERO time even Googling how set a place setting. PRONGS DOWN is a beautiful and the only way to bite if you ask me lol At Finishing School they even taught us how to get in and out of a car whilst in a straight pencil or mini-skirt, closing and conversely opening an umbrella at the same time, like a dance. You have no idea how many times I have impressed with that graceful move 😉 Cin Cin! 🥂
Am I still able to answer your question, What are petit fours?❤
I'm an old man. I watch Jamila's videos in hopes that there will some day be a kinder and gentler society. Probably not in my lifetime though. "Manners maketh man".
Every time she says “I don’t know where it’s coming from.” I keep saying to myself, it must be an American thing.
Amo como la caga a pedo😅
I love that you correct the action of Kylie, not like making fun of her
Petit fours are small bite-sized pastries or confections served after a meal. The French word petit four means “small oven” and refers to the very small, secondary oven in which the pastries are baked. Small petits fours of two bites or less are eaten with the fingers. Large petits fours of more than a few bites are eaten with a dessert fork.
I think thats very American – especially American south the ladies in the country towns with the private golf clubs, even in the 20th century eg. Titanic were new money so Americans would sway their fork around and the way they eat is like that flirty, enticing way where they seductive lick their lips etc etc look. I'll like to see American etiquette comparison to french and english and swiss as they are all very different- Even in different parts of the States their etiquette is very different
Ty alot sweetheart
The name petit four is French and means “small oven.” It is the traditional French term for small cakes, miniature cookies, and tiny pastries
sub Indonesia please 😢
These habits are good "occasionally!
Woww i dunno how i know all these etiquettes already?? I do these things naturally.. I'm surprised myself 😮 .. but im even more surprised that Kylie doesn't know these things.. like she's a billionaire n hangs out with the Elite 🤔 but okay it's fine .. never too late fo learning .. ❤
As someone from England who has been to so many afternoon tea’s, from moderately priced to very expensive with royal warrants, I’ve definitely seen people wearing jeans, alcohol has been served and unfortunately some people wouldn’t bat an eyelid to things that Kylie did. I still enjoyed the video
none of this matters that’s why
Thank you! I will be better prepared for the Manhattan tea luncheon my friend is planning.
Unfortunately, Vogue at least in the USA is not looking for class and etiquette they’re looking for people that are flaunting for any reason that would make people interested in them.
The majority of Americans are interested in status and not etiquette .
