CHICAGO, USA – Welcome to Chicago, one of the greatest food cities in the United States. Today we’re going on a Chicago food tour to learn about and eat 5 unique foods that were invented in Chicago – some of them will definitely surprise you!

We’re with my sister Pam and brother in law Derek, who is a Chicago native. If you love coffee, they roast coffee: https://www.dereksips.com/

1. Jibaritos Y Mas, Chicago, Illinois (https://goo.gl/maps/6oAQNLAAS6Ef6PyU9) – We’re starting this off with a Puerto Rican Chicago food known as the jibarito, a sandwich made with fried plantains instead of bread. Steak Jibarito – Price – $8.70

2. Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse, Chicago, Illinois (https://goo.gl/maps/A1HzaEo2XfFDEiDD6) – Next up we’re trying a famous Italian American Chicago dish known as chicken Vesuvio, another dish you can’t miss when you visit Chicago. Chicken Vesuvio – Price – $31.95

3. Fat Johnnie’s Famous Red Hots, Chicago, Illinois (https://goo.gl/maps/rfE9JqU1Gn5JrLEPA) Maybe the funniest of all dishes in Chicago, but with an interesting history, none other than the The Mother In-Law. The Mother In-Law – Price – $3.50

  1. Mark, don't you live with your mother in law? You seem overly happy describing the origins of the Mother in Law dog 🙃.

  2. Take at least 10 seconds when you put the bite in your mouth before you start saying mmmmmmmmm🤣
You need some seconds to realize if it is mmmmmmmm or not!!!!

  3. My visits to Chicago have been too brief to sample all the delights that are on my must-try list, but jibaritos are now at the top of the list – after a travel injury threw off my plans last time in town. (No jibaritos nor any Polish food! 😢)

  4. Those lollipop chicken wings are the best around. Sweet, super spicy but in a good way, crispy. And the rest of their food is excellent. Probably one of my favorite take out Chinese food restaurants, and I don’t think they are even Chinese. I could be wrong but I believe they are Koreans. At least they were Koreans before they sold the place. It was even better back in the day. The place is a staple for wings on the north side!

  5. You covered Chicago perfectly, as a lifelong Chicagoan, it feels great to see someone finally do it the right way. Best city in the world!

  6. I lived a couple miles from fat Johnnie’s had many mother-in-law’s Went to St. Rita HS and Grammar school.

  7. C'est quoi le secret de ce mec? il parcours le monde entier en manger des tonnes de nourriture mais il reste toujours fin comme un balai 😢
