Europeans after some time in US start getting weight. After returning home they recover.
More natural with less additives & chemicals in the food!
Maybe also less seed oils? More olive oil and butter?
Thomas, you have European viewers too 😊
Well i think one of the major problem is high fructose con syrup that we don´t have in Europe. It is forbidden in many countries and i don´t think that it helps that the corn is GMO. Also as you know that when liver burns fructose, it can´t produce good quality LDL at the same time so tht leds to heart problems. Small LDLs and oxodized LDLs are huge problem. That will cause lts of different health problems on it own plus the other things you mentioned. No wonder that the rate of t2d, heart disease and obisity is so high in the US.
I always gain weight in Europe and I don't mind, that's what vacations are for.
4:24 – Traveled to France, spent a week on a luxury barge on the Rhone River – one rule – taste everything – gained no weight…
Rule as old as world. Eat less and move more – easiest way to loose weight.
Thank God for the fast forward button.
I pay Google for no commercials and what do I see in these videos?😏
Super glad to see this video. If you reduce your calories by just 10% a day, this is around 6000 calories a month. Americans just eat too much.
Just returned from first trip to Italy for 2 weeks. We ate pizza, pasta, gelatos galore. Did not gain any weight, but our daily walking was immensely more than here in states. The food was amazing
Living in a higher altitudes may be associated with lower obesity rates. With a. 35.28%. Decrease at altitudes of 2,500 meters or higher compared to areas below 500 meters
Changing the thumbnail for more views/engagement Thomas? 🤔😡👎🏼
We could have a similar lifestyle here, but we’ve allowed our country to be built around the needs of big business – processed foods with little regulation, huge swaths of land where a car is required for literally every trip, zoning laws which push people further away from where they work/shop. It’s less the case that Europe is some wonderland and more the case that the US is a uniquely unhealthy place to live, outside of a handful of cities / metro areas.
I loved the Med because we ate late, very healthy meals, so much fun going out to dinner and walking afterwards. So healthy and don’t even get into the disgusting chemicals that we are fed where they are not allowed in Europe! Great discussion
I spent 10 days in the US sightseeing. I had two meals a day (breakfast and dinner) and walked all day, every day. By the end of the ten days, I had put on so much weight and my face was very puffy/inflamed. The pictures from day 1 vs day 10 are shocking.
Easy reason: we don't eat as much fast food and processed food as in the US – we eat real food. Plus portions are smaller- not everything has to be XL over here. Plus we walk and don't drive everywhere
Walking a lot while traveling and exploring 😮
I Europe we don't use – AFAIK – HFCS. I think this is a big factor.
There food is better quality
When I go to Europe I gain weight..Belgian beer is so good but also so bad 😂
lol i went to the states for a week and gained 5 pounds, i had 2 outdoor meals a day.
These issues only arise, generally speaking, mostly in countries from the Anglo-Sphere. Capitalism let them put all kinds of stuff into their food. You call it freedom.
Why the heck would anyone eat fast food when visiting Europe?
The fat u eat is the fat u wear
wonder if they call it a little-mac
6:53 I have that same red bowl and I eat popcorn from it!
Why are we so busy here in the US? Is it worth it?
The real difference is the Demonic politicians selling America out in all fiod sources. As an American living in Europe for the last 20 years, I will never return to the USA because of the politicians flooding their citizens with poison….☝🏿🤔👌🏿🤷🏿♂️👍🏿
Make America healthy. RFK Junior.
