  1. Grew up with tripe I ate quite a lot of it back in the 90s/00s though I haven't had it in quite a while my family coming from the north or England we boil our tripe with onions and other veg in milk then serve as a thick and rich milky stew.

  2. I love tripe. Awesome video. Healthy animal foods are extremely important in our modern world. More people need to see this

  3. Tripe produces the best sour soup where i am from. East european traditionally cooks this with onion, fried carrot ,lots of garlic and sour cream, and then a bit of vinegar. Amazing ,my favorite.
As far as i heard,it may be turkish cuisine ages ago

  4. Every Spanish region has its own tripe recipe called "Callos a la + the name of region" as if it were "Tripe in the Mancunian or Cumbrian style".

  5. As can be read in the comments, most of the world eats or has eaten tripe in the past. But as with everything else, the more americanized we becoming, the more traditions we are lose and the more cultures that disappear. The whole world will end up eating just burguers, american pizzas and pasta.

  6. I’m literally sat eating a plate of raw cold tripe with salt and vinegar 🍽 loved it since I could chew as my grandad fed me it haha 🙌🏼

  7. Bulgarian tripe soup , if some of you ever come visit look no further for traditional food. It gets nice and tender, the broth has milk and toasted paprika , and when its served you add a mixture of vinegar and garlic along with lots of hot pepper flakes . Its incredible

  8. People in this country like Liver but Tripe nope lol

People are weirded out about it being a cows belly but you're happily eat a steak with his just the best part of the body
Same with Horse meat, people are against that when it's like beef but apparently even better and cheaper
If you'll eat a cow but not a horse you're a hypocrite and might as well become a vegan
I'll eat anything besides Bush Meat, Pests/Rodents, Brains. Eyes, Genitals/Vagina and Insects (if I had to or for money I probably wouldn't mind but I've got a phobia of insects)
Maybe I'll even try brains since I don't see nothing really wrong but I just see it as something a cult would do

  9. Hear me out, rebrand Beef Tripe as "Cowboy Calamari". People find octopus too chewy but some sushi chefs massage it with salt to tenderize. Shallow fry or deep fry it like strips and it's a similar texture to squid.

  10. I bought fresh tripe, Not boiled. I went to boil that to tenderise. My God it smells like rotten milk while it is boiling. I was gagging while racing that sucker into the garbage before it made me throw up. Fucking Gordon made me buy tripe and i couldnt even cook it to be able to try it. I am an aged care worker so I am used to some pretty bad smells, but tripe is it's own breed of bad.

  11. I’m very open to all food, my Nigerian friends introduced me to Jellof rice with beef and tripe together in a spicy tomato sauce. Absolutely loved it.

  12. I agree with the lady at the start. All you need to experience fab tripe is to serve it cold with salt and vinegar. Yum.

  13. in here in indonesia… tripe is uses in many cuise like rawon (black soup),soto babat (yellow soup with tripe) curry tripe…
