👩🏼 Hi, let me introduce myself to those of you who are new to this channel. I’m Rebecca – my origins are a bit mixed, hence my often muddled-up words in English. Born in Denmark to a Canadian mum and a Danish dad. At the tender age of 21, I decided on a whim to move to Florence and see what Italy might have in store for me. I never left, and now I juggle 4 languages and feel like I can’t speak one correctly – but let me explain…
It’s been (quite a few) ups and downs, but I soon learned Italian, and to fend for myself with Italian hand gestures, and other than just loving my new beautiful surroundings, I found my passion for Italian food & wine which set the course of my life. After a few different business ventures, I started doing wine tours and met my husband Pierre through one of them. He was a winemaker from France and had an inquisitive mind, very refreshing! We now have 2 sons, and 1 dog, and run the wine tours, Grape Tours, together. Our common language is English, but Pierre speaks French to the boys (and the dog!), and occasionally I get to practice some Danish – but otherwise, it’s all in Italian which I feel hasn’t improved since English came to focus in our family.
We rent out our family farm villa which we renovated, Campo Sasso (featured on the TV series Fixer to Fabulous Italiano), in Chianti Classico, and we try our best to run a cheese & wine bar in the Oltrarno side of Florence, called Formaggioteca Terroir – in 2023 we were awarded with best Cheese bar of Italy 🥇

    A wonderful hillside house, how they built them so well out of stone, with a view of the beautiful forested valley.

    Cute, but poky and dark, I noticed all the lights were on and it's the hottest of summers in Italy!! What must it be like in winter?!
    And at that exorbitant price, too. I'd expect at least another bedroom or two, plus properly fitted, comfortable bathrooms.
    The only really pretty features are the kitchen garden, the terraced gardens and the pool, but even there, the 'waterfall' is a rather grotty overflow of pool water.
    To be acceptable you'd need to knock 50% off the asking price.
    On the other hand, having just seen the outer space home prices going in Greater London ( not even West End!), this is peanuts!
    I just can't believe the immoral way house prices have rocketed when most salaries haven't!
    So, go for it!😂

    Beautiful!!! If I may, I suggest to visit Viterbo and the Tuscia area. The places you can find are absolutely magical and quite affordable (for the time being).

    You are so charming Rebecca! I loved seeing the home with you and Marinella! I will rush right to see her website and inquire. While I might not be able to afford this one, we look and we see what is also for sale!

    Greve is beautiful but a bit pricy. This home is move-in ready for the right buyer, but it just needs a bit of freshening up.
