ABOUT:

Hi! I’m Valeria and I’m an expat in Italy. I’ve moved here (almost) on a whim when my plans in Paris got ruined – without speaking the language and totally unprepared, but pretty sure this is gonna be an adventure of a lifetime! Moving to Italy has definitely had its ups and downs, but I love discovering Italian culture, Italian people and, of course, Italian food. Here I post regular travel vlogs, tips on expat life, moving to Italy, personal growth and self-esteem as an expat woman living abroad.

Thank you for being here and may you have a wonderful day!

  1. Emilia Romagna is the best region in Italy to live in.
We other italians know it well but we can't admit it.
Emilia Romagna department of Tourism should hire you.

  2. Love how you can get fresh water from the water fountains around the area 😀! It looks like a fantastic Place to live, and one I will need to visit!

  3. The City of Porticos … there are over 60 kilometers of porticos in the City … and thank God, the sun is hot come July and August. In fact I believe they're designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site … and the University is the oldest in the Western World and the longest continuously operated University in the world … and of course the food is to die for.

  4. This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!

  5. Have you been in the Bologna underground? You could make a video about the Bologna underground

  6. My dream is to visit and possibly live in Italy, the homeland of my father and grandparents and in my opinion, the most beautiful country in the world for so many reasons, but I have been afraid to commit to even a trip because my husband is in a wheelchair. It seems to be a more handicapped accessible city to explore on our own. I do not want a canned tour where we would have to be on a tour schedule. We are both retired and want to explore at our own pace and avoid tourist traps.

I WOULD APPRECIATE INFORMATION AND ADVICE ABOUT TRAVELING IN BOLOGNA AND ITALY WITH A HANDICAPPED PERSON IN A WHEELCHAIR.

Thank you for your lovely videos,
and bless the Ukraine and the Ukranian people.

  7. Thank's for the great video Valerie. I'm an avid fan of yours. I'm from Canada. I love travelling and most of the Time, I travel solo and I rely on some good advice like yours to save money. I've been to Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome & Cinque Terre. On October 2023 I plan to come to Italy and see the Other parts of it and Also I wanted to spend a day in San Marino and a day in Bologna. and I think this is a good itinerary.

  8. Hi 😁
I found all of the best attractions in Bologna pretty cheap, compared to other big cities. 5 euro for towers, 5 euro for archiginnasio, 5 euro Specola and 5 for Poggi. That's good 🤑, especially for me that is going as a backpacker and will have like 40 euros to spend on food + attractions.
(hostels and airbnb are expensive, though 😧 )

  9. Thank you for this lovely, helpful video. I’m going to Bologna in early May and I’m really looking forward to this.

  10. Good job on your video…I'm an American and Italian citizen arriving tomorrow in bologna thanks 😊

  11. Hi, Thanks for the tips. Was the knife and fork plastic? If it is I will take my own utensils with me as I am trying not to use throw away plastic.😊

  12. Buongiorno io amo i tuoi video.

  14. I'm Italian and I'm not agree about "Bologna is not a very expensive city".
Lived there as resident for 5 years and also worked there for many years. Bologna is one of the most expensive cities in Italy, could be the 3rd one after Milano and Roma but the exact position in the list depends on what parameters are considered.
