People still eat Tuna and Noodle Casseroles and several others.
You didn't eat tuna noodle casserole at restaurants. You ate it at home. It was a Friday night staple in pre-Vatican II times, when Fridays were days of abstinence. I'd rather have Jiffy corn casserole. Green Bean casserole is made from French cut green beans, Campbell's chicken of mushroom soup, & French's fried onions. Just hamburger, not hamburgers. It's not a casserole, it's just baked macaroni and cheese
I've eaten a few of these casseroles over the years especially Tater Tot Casserole
which we eat a lot here in Oklahoma for lunch and supper it is really good to eat
thanks for the delicious memories.😋🥘🥘😋
My family and relatives still eat tuna noodle casserole to this day more often now then in previous decades because of inflation and how expensive everything is becoming. My family's never eaten shepherd's pie but we do eat cottage pie at least two times a month if it's made with ground beef it's a cottage pie if it's made with lamb it's a shepherd's pie we don't eat lamb in our house. 😅
All of these recipes you can make it at home and I make some of these that I like
Green bean casserole has never gone out of style. It is most popular during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I'm so thankful that my mother never got on board with the tuna noodle casserole fad.
Hamburger Helper casseroles are now done in a skillet but there are plenty of varieties on the grocery store shelves today.
Tuna casserole is still around, most people just don't know how to cook anymore. And you need tuna in oil for the flavor.
I'll stick with my poor man's shepherd's pie, made in a deep dish pie shell with corned beef hash mixed with a can of mixed vegetables and dark gravy topped with mashed potatoes.
I made scalloped potato casserole with chunks of spam last week.
All the enchilada casseroles I've ever had used a thin layer of cornbread on the bottom and top with the filling between and topped with cheese.
The best Mac and cheese I've ever had was on a Roach Coach that visited the jobsite. It had a lightly diced mix of jalapeno peppers mixed in.
Why do people keep calling tex-mex food authentic Mexican? Prime example – the Taco Bell garbage. NOT MEXICAN, everything wrong.
I prefer my stuffed peppers simmered in a pot of spaghetti sauce with 1lb rice meatballs in the peppers.
My wife's home economics education consisted of nothing more than casseroles made of leftovers, canned cream soups and topped with corn flakes cereal with cheese on top. We haven't allowed her to cook for the last 30 years.
I still make many of these on the regular – but I i live in Minnesota – where the “hot dish” is our soul food. ☮️💟
These are all still delicious!!!
You're crazy saying "we don't eat anymore"………Who are WE? A lot of people worldwide STILL eat Many of these…………………WOW!
This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
And no, most “folks” are into hunted game instead of comfort foods.
He’s mentioned animal heads and testicles in other posts.
He’s kinda out there and gets things wrong a lot.
I hate to tell you this but I STILL make some of these casseroles
🤭 my sister used to call shepherds pie S***'s pie when we were kids😂 she still ate it tho…so I cant help thinking of it by that childish name, I still chuckle😊 and I still love it❤
