Serralunga d’Alba is one of the 11 famous Barolo villages in the Langhe Hills of Piedmont, Italy – a beautiful medieval village and distinctive landmark in the Barolo hills with its towering castle and impressive defences, standing proud in the middle of the vineyards. Watch this video @winekellertravel to learn about this beautiful village and to visit 2 very different wineries and to go hunting for another of its famous products – truffles!

We visit the winery – Azienda Agricola Rivetto – certified biodynamic since 2012 – not just a winery but a unique space dedicated to vines, wildflowers, herbs, bees and above all Nature. Enrico Rivetto is passionate about producing excellent Barolo wines yes, but above all he is dedicated to creating balance with Nature and sharing this amazing space and land with others who wish to learn and appreciate. His land is also certified as a place you can hunt for truffles so we join an expert truffle hunter and her dog Coco to learn all about it!
We also visit Azienda Agricola Boassa Franca in the centre of the prized Serralunga vineyards and stay in their wonderful farmhouse apartments.
