  4. Just curious… do the Italians slurp their noodles the way Quang does?

  5. I have the same addiction my friend, it's just that i enjoy mine with chopsticks because i've always watched you use them, eversince the first carbonara and chicken video!

  6. 5:38 If your meaning is "Family Style" chain restaurants, than those are sub-par at best. There cutting corners and using the cheapest ingredients possible.
Now, if you're talking a true Mom n Pop Italian restaurant, those are the places that take pride in their food because they're passing down legacies from their nonna.

  7. 6:33 If you really want to know the truest Italian cooking, check out Pasta Grammar. The chef is from Calabria and I think the best Italian food comes from the south…. Hands down.

  8. There's a recipe I learn a long while back. It was a stewed tomato recipe. Olive oil, two whole onions sweated in the pot, and then diced plum tomatoes. Cook it for a couple hours, then finish it in a pan with al dente pasta. Top with fresh parsley.

  9. This is it. I eat this all day long and folks think I’m nuts. Real rustic Italian cuisine is simple and to the point. No fluff, no guff. Just simple ingredients to end. Perfection.

  10. To take this sauce up a level, oven roast the tomato first, ghis will give you a real intense sweet flavour. When using tomato paste needs to ve cooked out for a good 5 mins, or untill you see oil seeping out, this needs to vs done before addng any other ingredients, you also need to valance that tartnesswith some sugar or some sherry vinegar or balsamic and pinch sugar

  11. With the rinds you add that to the sauce to help thicken it up and add flavor.. then you take it out and discard it!! Just an fyi.. love your videos!!
