If I got it I would open it all back up to be one big house again
I think its overpriced – considering some of the amazing properties that are available. I personally would return it to a single family use, completely change all the layouts w/very big open kitchen, huge bathrooms,….. probably try to make part of the first floor into a garage and workshop; add a pool and indoor sauna……………. probably $300k in work. So – now you are around a million dollars. You can do MUCH better in Italy for that kind of $$……….. sorry. Needs to be $400k – maybe less.
Can the other 1/2 of the property be sold as well?
Id open it up to make one whole house. It has great potential . Someone sure likes books though that lived there.
It's still a duplex. Can you imagine beginning renovations for up to a year? The neighbors and their B&B guests would lose their minds.
Not sure you did yourself a great service showing it in this 'unkept' condition. Have you watched Nick's "Italian Properties" videos? I'm sure you could pick up some tips in watching his. Good Luck.
If the entire building was for sale it would be interesting but moving to Italy for an attached house is not particularly appealing.
Good luck selling that at that price. You'll need it.
