Extra fabric, should be shorter…..? it looks fine the way it is but she’s so use to dresses that fall right below her ass lol. Dresses are fine if they are a tad be more modest and falls above the knee

Regarding the printed green one, it’s probably loose in the hips only in the overlay because the top fabric has a bit of stretch and the lining doesn’t have stretch. If cut the same the stretchy overlay can look too big and stretched out. It should be cut a tiny bit smaller. This is a simple alteration to fix the overlay.
If the overlay is not stretchy, it could be that the fabric was cut in the bias, which can cause similar issues. But it looks like the stretch is the problem.
I solve that hip thing with underwear with removable pads on hips and butt, I pop them on and all of a sudden things fit so nicely🥹
