This was a packed day that started off with an incredible tour of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. From there, we drove to Orvieto, Umbria for a wonderful pasta lunch and incredible tastings of wine, olive oil, and aged balsamic vinegar. From there, we went to Tuscany to check into our beautiful home for the next three nights, located among the vineyards in the Italian countryside. Enjoy!

  1. We did the combined Colesium Forum Pallatine Hill tour. What is amazing is these are real places. The Senate building where they murdered Caesar, the house of the vestal virgins, the underground mechanics ‘back stage’ at the colesium, Lydia’s house. She was Augustus’ mother who
murdered everyone in I Claudius. And another day we took the subway out to the movie studio where fellini filmed all his movies and lived on sound stage 5. As part of that we walked around on the fake HBO Rome forum while in real Rome.

  2. When I worked at Sysco HQ we would get the best olive oil and balsamic vinegars and slurp them. This on the his off the his style is lot for us. we insist on at least one full day to just hang in the park with locals

  3. Hi Dan and Leslie!!!! Thanks so much for bringing back wonderful memories of my trip to Italy years ago!! IMHO Italy is the most beautiful country in Europe!! What a fantastic experience for Aidan and Jennings!! Always looking forward to your amazing videos!!

  4. This is bringing back so many memories of our trip to Italy, Greece and the Adriatic coast a few years ago. You are 100% correct about Orvieto. We had booked a private transport from Rome to Montepulciano in Tuscany and asked them to stop in Orvieto along the way. We only had a few hours there, and it convinced us that we need to come back and stay at least for a night or two. The Duomo is breathtaking inside. If you ever go back, please find the time to explore it. We bought quite a few pieces of Orvieto pottery, and every time I use a piece it makes me smile.
