We head to the Province of Enna to visit the elaborate and large Villa Roman del Casale built between the 3rd and 4th century AD. The site was accidentally discovered by locals in the 1950’s. The 42 room vila rich with marbles, rocks and shells from Northern Italy and Africa are of immense historical importance. Later we go to a new pizza place.

Absolutely beautiful. I remember going there in 1995. So much more has been excavated since then. Back then you actually walked on the mosaics. It's great to see how they are now being protected.
