What a bracket, missed opportunity by Different Drop not to stitch yourselves up with a Unico blend!
Cheers for some great content. Just went to pick up a bottle of Fresh AF to add to the wine tasting im organising with some friends on Friday.
Also I cant remember which episode it was, but now my favourite wine is one you have featured in a vid. Clos Cibonne, Tibouren.
Keep it up guys 🙂
Love a Shiraz-Viognier blend, but I've never paid that much money for one. My favorite South African producer, Arabella, does one for like $15 US which is delicious.
Anyone who says blends cant be good have never had a Languedoc GSM 😊.
I would be so interested to try Alexander die Grossen the Grosses gewächs pinot noir blend from Jean Stodden.
Very impressed with Brendan’s educated guesses based off his winemaking knowledge (I think he got one of the grapes in each blend except for the Grenache Gris?). That is some next level sluething!
Also, Henry screaming into his glass when he forgot passion fruit aroma is a tell for SB was comedy gold. 😂
This is exactly the content I am here for!
The biggest downside of have watched the entire back catalog is having to wait a week for the new videos to drop haha! Felt like an eternity, but great stuff as always. Cheers fellas!
As an expat Aussie in Europe – Oz revolutionised wine by putting the grape variety on the label, making it easy for people to understand and remember what type of wine they liked but also kind of making single varietals the go to. In Europe, everything is named after the region, and Spain and France in particular, are dominated by blends – that are really delicious. The answer is both. Both are delicious.
There is a disturbing amount of Viognier on that table…scary stuff. Stay safe out there folks.
Our possums are fire!
The Clonakilla is my favorite wine from Australia. Hard to find here in Canada but when I do it's worth every penny
Had an amazing white blend from Austria last week: von der Vogelweide Balztanz Blanc. Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Müller Thurgau & Frühroter Veltliner. The Riesling popped out of the glass.

Great video, 2022 was a very wet year in Murrumbateman ,what impact would that have on the wines?
The blended grape wines of Australia are commonly based on worldly classic wine styles, and winemakers showcasing unique grapes and blends. I believe Australian wineries when left to honest winemaking can push the ingenuity boundaries!
The video quality is stunning, with excellent camera angles, and you all have fantastic personalities that shine through. The format is interesting and refreshing, with three of you having fun while tasting wine and providing some wine education.
However, what’s lost for me in the edit is the educational aspect. While the edit is clever, it comes off as erratic and hard to follow. It lacks a clear storyline and a paced flow that allows the viewer to embrace and understand the information being shared. I would love to see more emphasis on wine education and a less frantic pace overall. But overall, it’s a good job and enjoyable to watch.
You guys deserve to have a bigger audience. Keep up the good work.
