In Italy relationships are the first building project. This will take years. And then, when the contract is signed, that simply means the negotiations begin. When completed the personal rewards will be wonderful!
We need more context on this project. But it shows how different and maybe difficult it is to do things in other countries.
No sense to have these people over from the US.
In the United States they have wooden houses that are so easy to be modified, that’s not the case in many parts of the world, so obviously, they are overwhelmed when they face the situation.
These guys always place a United States flag in EVERY SINGLE home they renovate, if they put an Italian flag next to the door in this one the owners will be the laughing stock of the town! People don’t need to demonstrate what country the are in every few meters!

Hope they know the difference between lime and cement. When Dave said he just saw rocks and cement I got a bit worried. They will ruin the stone house if they use cement.
you should upload the whole series. uploading the final reveal first a few months ago, then this sloppy edit without context just building drama and creating anxiety for viewers is so ridiculous. just upload in a stepwise fashion…most viewers don't have access to HGTV in the US they are watching from abroad or because they don't have cable.
What a fun and exciting project! Italy is a wonderful place and the people are so nice. Looking forward to seeing more of this project!
Being Spanish myself, I can tell you all building proyects are muuuch slower and the paperwork if superslow.
So most people rather do the reno first and later pay a fine to the local townhall.

This is Really a crazy & frustrating idea, which is going to be a different house behind the camera.
Electrics & building codes are totally different, planning, logistics, materials are in a different language & measurements.
Good luck…but I don't think this will be what they show us at the end.
