nostalgia is the most powerful ingredient ramen was never something my mom allowed in the house when i was growing up so whenever she went out to see her friends my dad would take out his emergency stash of instant noodles and make some he’s a fundamentalist when it comes to ramen he always uses this thin copper colored pot to cook the ramen he made his noodles according to the package descriptions but 50 milliliters shy of water to account for the moisture from the egg to boiling water the soup packet goes in then the dry mix and the noodles cook it al dente for three and a half minutes crack one egg cover the lid and cook for 30 seconds to let the egg whites set before taking it off the grill using a spoon we would use an encyclopedia or a boring book to lay the pot on top and enjoy it straight from the pot using the lid as a plate and after we slipped the noodles away we would get some day-old rice mix it in with the leftover soup and crown the bite with spicy sour kimchi ramen always brings back these little memories i share with my dad and shows that

What's a dish that brings back good ol memories for y'all?
Nếu Hải Anh ko phiền có thể cho mình biết khu chung cư bạn ở tên gì đc ko ạ 🥹 mình đang cố gắng hùn tiền mua cho mẹ 1 căn, xem video thấy nhà đẹp và thoáng đãng quá 🥹
Me not realizing that the video was going on loop
Her mom watching this:👁️👄👁️
Me too! Yumm
Try adding (Stir-fried Dried Anchovies in Red Chili Paste)of korean food, to ramen soup. It tastes very similar to instant ramen soup. I think it would be similar if you also added green onions and red pepper powder. Ramen Sari is a method of pulling noodles, steaming them, and then frying them in oil.
고추장과 참기름(볶아진 식용유, 정도)과 몇마리의 마른 멸치를 넣어도, 한국의 라면스프와 비슷한 맛이 될거라고 생각합니다.
If you add red pepper paste and sesame oil (fried cooking oil, degree), and a few dried anchovies, I think it will taste similar to Korean ramen soup.
Every 3 months, the YT algorithm brings this video back to my feed. I know all the words of the video by heart. But every-time, I watch it all the way to the end.
Something about the vibe from the video is so warm and comforting.
Your Dad rocked! Your mom… missed out! Lol
Mine is seafood flat noodle soup. Either bland or spicy… it’s my ultimate comfort food. It can change my entire mood with one bite. Sucks because unless I make it myself… I can’t get anything good I’m Chattanooga
"Boring book"😢❤😂
Your dad is awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
My dad would bring us to church. We would make hot cocoa every morning and between services, my dad would get us McD’s hashbrowns. Don’t worry, we didn’t tell our mom :).
Sorry to ruin the fun but no book is boring 😅
Edit*no
My husband won’t let me feed my kids ramen so I found excuses say let my kids had once a week with vegetables with it, plus with some fish or meat balls and he agreed😅
That pot is only for cooking ramen right?
Good stuff 🔥🔥
Disrespecting books 😠
When my mom was out of town, my dad would make us Kraft mac n cheese, microwaved canned green beans, and apple slices. Everyyyyy time 😅❤
But the book 😢
I’m so sick right now with Covid and stuck in a room with no light to isolate and I’ve only had 2 phone calls this entire time. What I wouldn’t give for a comforting pot like that right now. Even if I could make it myself. It’s 3 more days till I can leave the house for food. I have dumplings. And some minced meat. And rice. Not my favourite sick food. So I haven’t had anything:
Pozole brings so many memories and is just my favorite ❤️
Ratatouille vibes
If this is the same recipe, maybe just 1 egg and just small portion of kimchi was the real issue.
Iconic video
This is so endearing to watch and listen to. I loved hearing the story whilst watching you recreate it. What a fun way to capture it all in such a short time. I felt like I had nostalgia for a memory I’ve never even had.
poor book, it's gonna get dirty
"ramen was never something my mom allowed in the house while i was growing up" then why wasn't your dad going to the store to buy some ramen when your mom wasn't home why was he able to have an emergency stash if she didn't allow it lol
Good girl
Your Dad is an awesome man!!❤❤❤
