dear diary I was invited up to my cousin Paulo’s place and uh apparently he had some pigs slaughtered last week it’s a smaller Pig he’s telling me like 100 kilos so that’s like what 220 lbs uh and they’re processing it today and we’re making sausages I told you we were going to process some meat today so we’re start we’re processing mayale and look at the lovely sausages we’ve done that so far today my cousin’s set up so perfectly here he’s got fridges professional scales slicing machines look at us going this is the machine that squeezes the meat out into the uh intestines so uh no plastic here man it’s the real Real McCoy I’m actually in a white Roe and I’m helping out I wanted to help out and I’m helping out and they’re teaching me how to do this so very cool so we filled up this big bow look at these Beauties man so he grows the M the pigs himself self he sends it out to get butchered and he gets it all ground up and look man we made all this sausage there’s my cousin here and look at these Beauties check it out here we go check this out oh they’re a little afraid of me they’re like please one more day man size of this guy man this is a few hundred kilos right here M bacon can you say bacon you’re upset about your friend last week eh yeah I’d be upset too too and my cousin here he has his little piece of heaven and look a fresh picked Bean baby that’s so good and I just had some of the hottest peppers I want this one and my mouth is still on fire and oh my God it just won’t go away so I one of these little Peppers here you see these things this is fire baby that’s what that is you have one of those when you go snowm buing and you don’t need to put on a coat we got here broccoli plants and if I get a zoom in here you see the broccoli growing here this is kale if I understood correctly this here is CIF flow is what’s growing you got the eggplants P oh so sweet potatoes is what they got here and look at the salad man so you want to know why they live forever here in the Blue Zone this is it right here you grow it their own seeds they dry them and they replant them and this is how you eat in LaBella Calabria so this is a terrible area for the poor little pigs cuz this is where they meet their end they’re grown back there and this is where they slaughtered them I thought he took them out to slaughter them they slaughter room right here so I hate to tell you what that is I’m thinking maybe some grape juice they spilled on the floor here’s the feed and that first Pig I showed you before 300 kilos oh here’s the relatives they’re like oh man he knows what happened to his friend last week so look at the size of these things they’re huge oh so cute M come the yamb BAC bacon bacon pacon bacon oh look oh my God ah so this is what we processed today so he was about that big when they slaughtered him last week and we’re going to have him for lunch today baby some fresh he knows what he feeds him it’s all stuff from his own look at this baby this is so this is the dad oh my God look at this man so um it’s too bad we can’t capture Aromas cuz that’d be something special but look at these babies man I can’t wait to have lunch today so yeah that’s the sad reality except here there’s no chemicals it’s all natural and it’s literally man from Farm to Table all this is where they kept their reveal their cows and stuff their baby Veals I’m here outside I’m with the boys follow the besto Antonio and what do boys do they barbecue that’s what boys do we got our Master Chef here we have our foreman and the meat’s cooking look at that this thing’s already full of sausages and stuff so we’re down left a few more sausages some ribs aot look at all this wonderful food I’m among family and friends and here we are
