Cruise news a global shakeup of the cruise industry is underway while the door of growth opportunity is closing in some regions it is swinging wide open in others there is lots going on throughout the world the top 10 Cruise news updates today include stories from nine different nations and I’m going to get you all the information fast coming up [Music] welcome to the travel Scouts my name is Jason and we are your cruise information Channel we get you the cruise news and information you’re looking for quickly without wasting your time so if you love cruising consider subscribing okay before I get into the doors that are opening and closing for cruising there are a few disruptions that I need to share with you so let’s go ah and kick that off with number one the three and a half year World cruise from startup company VAV V has been delayed once again the VAV V Odyssey cruise ship was initially scheduled to launch on May 15th however it has been been delayed three times most recently because the ship’s Rudder post needed to be replaced a Rudder post is a part that is necessary for the proper steering of a ship and it seems that part has not yet arrived so the company is now moving on with delay number four and it has a new launch date set for June 21st then number two we have a hurricane season update there are currently two weather systems of concern in the Atlantic they are identified by the red and yellow x’s on this map the biggest concern is the one with the red X X it currently has Max sustained winds of 40 mph and in its current position it could cause choppy weather for ships that are going to Progresso Mexico going into Wednesday the storm is expected to turn west into the Mexican Coast meanwhile the other Atlantic weather system is only being given a 20% chance of cyclone development in the next week however things change quickly so stay tuned for updates moving on to number three an earthquake has jolted Trinidad and Tobago Trinidad and Tobago is located in the southern Carib Ian off the coast of Venezuela the earthquake occurred early yesterday morning trimmers were felt throughout both Islands the earthquake measured at 4.0 on the RoR scale thankfully no serious injuries were reported and now I’m going to share with you some of the stories where cruising is on the outs number four the prime minister of Greece has indicated that they may impose cruise ship restrictions on Santorini and mikinos in 2025 sanini had 800 ships make Port calls last year mikinos had 749 cruise ship visits Greece appears to be joining a list of other nations and cities that have decided to put a cap on tourism Greece will announce later this year exactly what the restrictions will include then number five New Zealand Cruise options are running low the Pacific Explorer cruise ship will complete its last roundtrip sailing out of Auckland New Zealand in October of this year after that only princess Cruisers will offer a roundtrip Voyage from the nation and Princess only has two such cruises scheduled other major Cruise Lines such as Royal Caribbean Celebrity Norwegian and Carnival Cruise Line have nothing scheduled for New Zealand in 2025 princess does have 12 other voyages from New Zealand next year but they are all oneway trips that end in another Nation all of this means that our dear friends in New Zealand will have to book at least one flight in order to cruise that is if they do not get on one of the two roundtrip princess sailings the cruise industry has been very vocal that much of the withdrawal has been due to the high port expens and complex regulations okay we have five Cruise news pieces remaining including the top headlines of the day but now it is time for our fast midow checkin in the last video I asked if you typically cruise with someone below the age of 18 I received input from nearly 5,000 of you and here are the results 12% of you said yes I sure do the majority 73% said no there are no children or youth in your cruise party and 15% said that you do sometimes but it varies thanks for your input and really good feedback here is today’s question in a few moments I’ll be sharing with you an announcement from one Cruise Line regarding specialty dining so my question for today is do you typically pay for any specialty dining on your cruise chime in down below with a for yes or B for no and if you have a favorite specialty dining I would love to know that as well but now on with the cruise news before we move into number six and look at where the cruise industry is being given an Open Door let’s recap the areas of the world where the restrictions on cruising are increasing in recent episodes we have already discussed how there will be fewer cruises in Australia and New Zealand additionally Europe has seen recent restrictions added in Iceland the Netherlands Spain Greece and Italy and in North America we are seeing the same in Alaska California and the northeastern us however things appear to remain very inviting in the Caribbean and Central and South America Africa and Asia and that brings us to number six China is waving the Visa requirement for all Cruise passengers in order to encourage cruise travel to their 13 major cruise port cities China has announced that cruise Travelers are welcome and no Visa is needed the authorization allows for passengers to visit the nation for a maximum of 15 days the new Visa waiver is effective immediately number seven the government of South Korea has made a commitment to attract 1 million new annual Cruise passengers to their Nation by 2027 yesterday South Korea announced they had a comprehensive strategy to boost Cruise tourism this will include construction of new peers Terminals and markets they also have a plan to give each of their seven major ports a unique identity their aim for these developments is to make Cruise visits to South Korea a highly sought-after experience moving on to number eight Egypt has signed a contract to develop three Cruise terminals the bad news is that all three have shorelines on the Red Sea and cruises are not going there right now however they are looking ahead and signed a 15-year contract aimed at boosting and attracting more Cruise visitors the new terminals are expected to be operational in egyp Egypt next year so as you can see cruising is being restricted in some areas but it is being invited to come in others definitely a bit of a shakeup for future growth plans and in a few other developments number nine Port Miami is fully functional with Shore power this will enable cruise ships to turn off their engines and connect to landbased electrical power while at Port this will reduce noise and cut port side emissions by up to 98% then number 10 Royal Caribbean has announced the pricing for their brand new train inspired specialty restaurant on the Utopia of the Seas the name of the restaurant is Royal Railway Utopia station the concept is to make you feel like you have been transported to a train in the old Wild West the cost for the experience is $119 for adults and $59 for children the venue will only be available on the Utopia of the Seas for now the utopia’s inaugural sailing is scheduled for July 19th okay subscribe and turn the notification Bell on to stay up to date with the latest Cruise news and information the next video is it’ll be coming out soon but until then keep on cruising and we’ll catch you in the next video [Music]

    𝗔 – Yes, 𝗕 – No

  2. I’d have to say A as we do love a special treat. We had 2 included in our last cruise and went to Rudi’s Seafood. Best meal ever!!!!!!!

  3. The prices for the specialty meals are no longer worth it imo. I only go when the casino offers me a comp.
