Black currant, cedar, olive, iron and tobacco aromas and flavors suggest Cabernet in the blend, in a positive sense. This red is fluid, elegant and firmly structured, with fine balance and a long, gripping finish. The taut profile shows the potential for aging. Best from 2022 through 2038.

The 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva Villa Antinori (made with Sangiovese and a tiny bit of Merlot to soften out the edges) is a linear and broad red wine that would pair with simple meat or pasta dishes. You get tons of fruit here with cherry, blackberry and a touch of soft baking spice woven in on the close. This pretty vintage is focused and sharp in character.

A firm and fresh Chianti Classico with wet earth and spice and hints of mushrooms. Full-to medium-bodied, structured and tannic, yet very polished and refined. Delicious and elegant. Drink now or hold.

The 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva Villa Antinori is bright, floral and punchy, with all the qualities of this great vintage very much on display. Freshly cut flowers, sweet red cherry, mint, blood orange and white pepper give the Villa Antinori gorgeous aromatic top notes that convey brilliance.

Their Via Antinori labels are their best from Chianti today we’re tasting their Chianti Classico Reserva from the celebrated 2016 vintage. It has a classic nose of sour red and dark cherry with a slight dustiness the palette is clean and fresh with the same fruit notes moderate plus tannins and a cleansing acidity. If you’re looking for a classic example of chianti Classico Reserva it is hard to go better than this this would be an excellent pairing with an array of foods from fatty brisket to truffled risotto this has an incredible quality price ratio and I highly recommend it
