[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] good morning from lavoro beautiful it’s supposed to rain all day but right now it’s not and we’re going to appreciate that greetings from the Disney Dream DVC member Cru Vlog part two of this specific part of this series although it’s a bit of a longer series than that if you saw I did a travel day I did a pack and chat a travel day and my Barcelona like as well so and the first Vlog of the series embarcation day and the first day at see FL videoos all ready for you um I’m continuing the journey now with the next couple of days so we start our Port Adventures now for the next I don’t know 4 days we have ports today is lorno and that is the port most frequently used to travel to Florence and or pizza there’s also Luca and other places you can go like the chinatera um I’ve been blessed to have traveled to the chinqua when I was a young thing uh like a 19-year-old young thing and I’ve been to Florence a few times over the course of my young adulthood so I’m skipping those Journeys today although I’m sure they’re fantastic they’re also very long outings and I am instead choosing to go to Pisa I’ve never been to Pisa I wanted to see the sites there H so I’m doing a via tour tour today because I really wanted to climb the tower and that wasn’t available um by the time I signed up for the cruise um Port Adventures it wasn’t available anymore so uh I am going to attempt to get there we’ll see uh if I can get a cab if it’s not horrendously expensive or try to take the train I’m not sure what’s going to be easiest but um I’m meeting up with a a couple of buddies who and we’re going to try to Traverse that together uh but first we must fuel voila I’ve got a bit of a room service Situation Room Service is included on DVC cruises just Continental not sure why they sent me two fruit bowls so I’m going to put one away for later but of course we got our quason and some tea and then I have some yogurt in the fridge that I got yesterday yesterday and didn’t eat so I’m thinking I might not actually eat the tea uh because or drink the tea right now because I want to I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get to Pizza and I want to save my bladder but I have my own thermos and I think I might just put some tea for later in my thermos I not the side of yet but uh that’s breakfast let’s get fueled up and ready to go breakfast has been consumed I’m feeling good just thought I’d show you what I’m bringing in case that’s of interest to anybody I was like seeing this kind of stuff I’m going to wear my rain coat it’s not like hot and I need to bring it anyway cuz it supposed to rain and I’m also just going to clip my hat onto my bag I think could just like string this through the belt clip part uh I’m going to wear this cross body so it’s close to me I have my wallet passport and documents in this back zipper and its little thing and I also have my microphone I’m bringing we’ll see if I actually remember to use it I’ve been forgetting I have a little thing of tissues from the airplane an extra hair tie and lip bomb with SPF I have put SPF on even though it’s supposed to rain it doesn’t mean it’s not going to be sunny I’ve got my sunglasses in their little case and this little softsided water bottle flask cuz you can’t bring anything liquid back onto the ship but I’m going to want water with me um and that way it fits nicely in my bag and then it just like come packs down to basically flat when it’s when it’s done U my Pham will fit nicely in the back and my camera will fit on top of the water bottle so uh I decided to leave the Hat cuz it was just kind of cumbersome and I realized you probably can’t wear it in any of The Monuments that are all religious monuments and it’s probably not allow speaking of which just make sure that you have um your legs covered to your knees it sounded like and a shirt that covers your shoulders so no tanks no shorts or short shorts as it were there she is let’s go let’s go oh and don’t forget your key to the room card and photo identification wow it’s quiet at this there’s like nobody here that’s amazing do you notice anything about this picture excuse me um it’s uh we’re in Pizza I came here with a couple of buddies so I didn’t film like talk filming the journey over but it took quite a while to get here we walked we took a shuttle from the excuse me from the ship to the town and then we took and we walked to the train station which is like a mile and a half and then I’m like booking it cuz I’m trying to make it to my tour and then we went to um got on a train train was very easy only a couple euros and then we hoed it from the train station here in Pisa to this part of Pisa which is obviously where all the you know historical landmarks are and they have a different tour now and I’m going to meet up with them later to go back but now I’m just trying to figure out where to find myy tour and I’m swimming and it’s raining but we made it yay pretty easy to find them actually we’re at this entrance to the so here we are welcome to the square of Miracles oh my gosh are we standing on the cemeter okay feel disrespectful doesn’t [Music] it construction of this building we are talking about the second half of the 13th century this was supposed to be an auxiliary Church to the cathedral close on an open space okay but anyway the biggest problem here was the second world war okay all the opposite side of the city was a disaster because we got training station because I know in Florence they tried to say he was born in Florence he wasn’t was born in Pizza we’ve got his birth certificate behind the tower so he would work here this Fresco is called and I’m sorry about my pronounce because it’s terrible the the j j j Tri thank you it’s been 15 years and I’m not able to pronounce this word I’m so sorry of them and see how powerful was the art during the Middle Ages okay to pass all the concepts and the ideas of the Catholic religion not my friend A promise is a promise and I give you a pirate maybe you help there’s still doing restoration work on the frescos [Music] take a SE for your this is the most important piece inside of the cathedal okay first of all because the p is the place to read the word of the Lord’s operation and this particular now one of the most important scultures of the go not just Italian but European I think they took some precautions from the fire in the 13th century to not or 17th century excuse me to not have real candles anymore yeah that’s why they have this 17th century broke ceiling indoors and they’re not the original 12th century ones they all burn down oh my goodness this is a body from 1161 [Music] what that’s wow okay so that was a really awesome tour Andrea was awesome now it’s the ticket to the tower it’s not part of the I mean I bought it as part of the tour the ticket was included but the tour doesn’t continue up there um but that was really informed we saw a lot she was was very funny and fun so to go up into the tower you have to you can’t bring any bag at all so you have to have it locked up in a locker but it’s included in the price of your ticket bring up camera and that’s basically it um and then they they do like a security scan before you get in W there are 251 steps the other e it took 3 minutes you can feel the lean on this side for sure it’s kind of fun going up on the bells quite a few Bells it’s really neat we’re a little high up not too bad oh it’s beautiful here I’ll show you through the fence oh wow lovely well you can’t see cuz of the glare but it’s the way down took 3 minutes to get up 251 stairs and it would have taken this time had I not been behind people I’m not complaining just saying really not that many stairs um climb much more I feel like a not dog but it’s lovely and it’s nice going down without anybody in front of you or next to you took 1 minute to come down I go collect like my bag um it’s in this little Locker thing you got a little QR code to open and go meet up with a some buddies to grab a [Music] [Applause] bite woo pizza was a whirlwind it was really fun it takes quite a bit of time to get there I think if you don’t have like a private transfer car or something um it’s like a half an hour walk first there’s like a 10-minute shuttle ride from the ship to the P to the town of lorno which luckily was included like the Disney Dream had a free shuttle so I didn’t have to pay for that and it was like a 30 minute walk from the shuttle drop off to the Central Station and then the train is very inexpensive it’s like less than three euro per way to get to Pisa and it’s only probably like a 17 minute train ride give or take uh and that was easy peasy but then there’s another almost 30 minute walk on the other side to get from the and more like 25 minutes to get from the train station to like where all of the historical religious buildings are like the old part with the wall and the baptistry and the cemetery that I showed you um the they the Baptist Tre was closed to guest today so we saw the cemetery instead and then the cathedral you think Cemetery like a cemetery this is like basically another church it was supposed to originally be an auxiliary church or Cathedral I should say because the town was growing so fast and then there was this war and half the men of Pisa died so they’re like I guess we don’t need the space anymore but we sure do need some grapes because we can’t be bearing people above ground which they used to do in the sarcophaguses sarcophagy that the plur that I don’t know anyway long story short everything was really cool I really loved that tour it was very reasonable I feel like I got to see all of the things that I really wanted to see in Pisa and Andrea um was our guide she was so so funny it was so easy to hear her but they also had the headphones in case like especially in the cathedral where she had to be a little bit quieter uh but it was just wonderful really fun and then I had purchased the ticket that included the ticket up to the tower which in itself was like €30 or something like that I can’t remember how much the whole tour was it was under $100 so um I do remember that I will link the exact one I’m sure the price varies depending on the season but um just really great our group was maybe like I think 11 people they try to keep them under 15 people for each group so was very comfortable to like not feel like you were lagging too far behind or you know or if it’s too crowded or anything there’s a lot of people in pza coming from all over you know to see it so it was really nice to have that small group setting I really felt like it was worth the money and then she dropped us off right at the um Tower entrance like right before our ticket to go up was scheduled the timing was perfect um so there was really no lag time the tour started at 10:00 and I was walking up to the tower at 12: like for my so it was a 2-hour tour was perfect um the tower was a short visit but I think completely worth it um it’s really not too strenuous if you can do some steps um and I think it’s worth it it’s a beautiful view and the history and architecture and all of that is really fascinating um if you can’t do a tour I recommend seeing if you can find like an audio guide or something online I’m sure there’s free ones but uh then I met back up with the folks that I walked or I traveled with um that was really nice too to have people to go I’m sure I could have figured it out by myself but it’s nice to be in a group so um we got some lunch at this really nice place um not too far from the if you walk just a little bit away from the Tower of Pizza we notic notic that the prices got less expensive and the restaurants got less crowded so we got a really nice seat in like the little patio kind of area that was still outside but a little bit in closed you didn’t feel like you were in a snat like where somebody could just like snatch your bag away from you kind of thing not like any of that happened but something you do have to think about when traveling anywhere really that lunch was so good I had noi we we split all these starters um to share which were fantastic like classic Italian things you think of like brusett and prudo and mozzarella the Buffalo mozzarella and um the arugula salad with the parmesan on it 10 out of 10 I love aruga and luckily we all like the same thing so we were able to share which is nice to get different tastes of everything and then I had the noi as my main and it was topnotch topnotch just exactly what you want Yi to be fluffy delicious smothered in cheese just perfect and then we walked back a little bit back up towards the tower to get some gelato because I was like we have to look I kind of insisted on the Google reviews I was like it has to be a 4.6 rating or above on Google reviews or it’s not worth it if you know you know and it was worth it it was really worth it such good gelato oh I had like a chocolate Hazelnut and then this like golden chocolate they gave you two flavors so good so I didn’t talk through I just didn’t want to take I never like to film when I’m with other people because I don’t want to take away from anybody’s experience or have anybody feel awkward unless they specifically asked to be on video which most people will not so um I just kept that part just for you to see like what we call Boll just the the visual images without the auditory also I don’t like filming too much on tours because I don’t want to be intrusive um in somebody else’s business like that too like their actual business but I showed you the sites I was looking at and maybe you’ll hear a little bit of the audio from that but um I again I try to be very very Mindful and um respectful of that as much as I can anyway then we made our way back it was just as easy to get back as it was to get there we just retraced our steps got right on a train no problem and then the Disney had more shuttles to did they just came like every probably maybe every like 15 minutes I would guess to get to get people and scoop we made waited 10 minutes at the shuttle stop they scooped us up and we’re back on the ship it’s going on 5 I just put a load of laundry and there’s a little tiny launderette here with two washers in it and it’s been packed and I knew I wanted to do some laundry in this like around now and because people are still out um I think at Port I was able to snag one of the washers and I don’t know if I selected the right washing mode I was just like to put it on so I’m doing a little laundry I’m going to take a shower get everything in the dryer hopefully soon because I’ve got dinner in just over an hour and then yeah the rest of the day will continue oh we got a new good goodie should be show I didn’t buy anything in Pizza I really should have looked I would love to have gotten a sticker or a postcard or something I just didn’t oh it’s a fanny pack ah it matches the um oh how cute all right hold please fanny pack but it’s the same material as the backpack this is nice okay so I’m just going to undo this for the ease of seeing um it has a nice I love it when the fanny packs have the little zipper in the back cuz then you know like you can keep things secure to you which is great it has a little zip pocket in the front which is nice this feels almost like a water resistant material says member cruise on it and then in the middle oh oh how cute the happiest bag you’ve ever strapped around your waist you probably don’t know the magic probably know that the magic membership was born in 1911 A Primitive cross body bag the member exclusive oh my gosh that’s funny um I’m not going to read that whole thing cuz it’s going to take a long time but apparently all right I will read it to you because this is what we do here um Europe’s oldest known natural human mummy that of an ice F believed to have lived about 5,000 years ago near the Italy border the body was wearing what is believed to be a primitive crossbody B crafted from calf leather and fashioned with a pouch the ancient accessories proof that people were born to travel very cute this is nice it has a little key fob has a little pouch pocket on the side and another zip pocket on the inside perfect travel pouch now I like mine to be just a little bit bigger when I’m like the one that I brought for this trip I can fit my collapsable water bottle in but um just for like you know for even airplane just so to have like your documents on you at the airplane very nice I approve I approve very nice the tiniest pette on the ship so s this one it’s pretty simple system actually you just tap your card and it charges you and I didn’t realize you can like pick have picked a shorter cycle but I didn’t think about that oh well just two more minutes and then the dryers are kind of the same system just tap your card I’m pretty sure it’s just like a one choice for the dryer what a whirlwind okay I’m heading to animator’s pal I should hope it’s this way they have the banda chip and in their little like cooking outfits I think it’s this way I don’t actually know we’re still in Port I think we leave shortly a little late for dinner but it’s all right here we are time to go in all right animators palette I just I love this they have this restaurant on a lot of the other ships too it’s not the like animators night it’s a different night but uh it’s cute they still print the special menus for this but it’s the same menu as always I’m was told to get the pasta and then the pasta not only by my friends today but by the server so might just do a double pasta right we went with the double pasta this is the first pasta you know we’re in Italy might as well get two pasta dishes and pasta for lunch more pasta tell me that doesn’t look delightful they gave me like a brain teaser with CR to do I failed miserably at that [Music] feel like I have been checking with you guys a very eventful evening let’s see what happened went to dinner dinner was good I went to the Pink Champagne Bar place which um I’ve actually never sat in but they had like a Pianist in there and that was really fun and I had a really nice glass of Rosé and now um I just went to watch the nag goof um premiere documentary thing but I only got to see half of it cuz I really want to see Tony bter um and it’s already past my bedtime so I’m heading over there now cuz I have a feeling there’s going to be a line but we’ll see but I’m glad I got to see at least half of that the documentary is coming out soon at some point I think so I can watch the other half at another point but yeah it’s all good it’s all good um oh I took a little clip of the Champagne Bar they have like they give you a little chocolate St that was really nice all right let’s see what the line is like tonight an elephant and Rome did I not notice that these are lining up with the ports pza yep barcelon yep didn’t notice good job Jen way to be observant what a fun evening oh my gosh I’m having the best time I just it’s been go go go in the best way though I’m not I’m like happy about it well we’re only a couple days in but I don’t know I got to go to bed it’s after 11: and I need to wake up by 700 at least yeah maybe I’ll let myself sleep till 7 to to tomorrow though but anyway I went to this I didn’t take even like a beginning I’ve been trying to show you at least like the setting before the thing start cuz you know I’m not supposed to film in any of these things cuz I in the line I’ve been been good also about knowing to get to Disney things early I’ve been trying to get to things like 30 minutes ahead and that’s been helpful for getting a good seat I will say I did not have to get early to the not a goof thing cuz it was in such the big theater um that that wasn’t an issue but I did anyway just been reading my um book on my Kindle I’ve been waiting uh but I did duck out of that early to get in line for the convers cocktails and conversations with Tony Baxter and that was so fun I love Tony backer if you’re a a Disney buff you’ll know um a bit more about him but he’s um he has had an illustria is that the word I don’t know a great career as a Disney imagineer and it was incredible to to hear him talk and just so fun but when I was waiting in line for that like I got there like I said I met a couple uh who was waiting there as well and they kind of took me under their wing and we all sat together through the through the show and every not really a show it was more of like a I think of was like a conversation it was like kind of like a panel but not but less formal but anyway I’ve met so many really nice people I’ve been really blessed um in that and now I have to go to bed and I had a ginger ale at that thing cuz I was like I cannot drink anymore but I feel like I never have soda either so now the Sugar’s kind of hitting me and I’m like H oh well anyway I hope you’re well we will continue on with this Vlog tomorrow so we are going to Chia I finally found out how to say it I do not know how to pronounce where I’m going I scheduled a separate tour from Disney tours cuz I couldn’t really get the things that I wanted through Disney they were already booked and and I’ve already been to Rome a few times and I just wanted to do something different um you can go to Rome a lot of times and still not see everything but I just wanted to do something different but I’m really exciting I’m going to something that’s often referred to apparently as the dying City so join me for that tomorrow it sounds like I’m the only one on that tour so we’ll see how that goes and I hope you um are enjoying hanging out with me so far I will see you in just a second but I’m going to try to get some sleep good night last thing I didn’t show you but if you go by the member desk every day is in addition to all the gifts they giving us here um there’s gifts different gifts there every day and there’s this little sleeping mask how cute is that and then I brought the chocolates back with me from the um Champagne Bar that just came with my champagne cuz I couldn’t couldn’t possibly eat anything more at that point but I think that’ll be a nice thing to have now just when I need more sugar anyway roll on tomorrow welcome to ch viia Harbor and another Cru show and it’s another kind of Stormy looking day but we’re going to make the most of it oh a race get starting to get come off the ship too that’s exciting good morning it’s 7:40 I pushed my alarm out to As Long As I feel comfortable with so I can get as much sleep as possible and I’m just getting ready to go here I’m not bringing anything different from yesterday but thought I’d show the scene also I’m not sure I was just filming myself you know 14 years been doing this still have no clue what they’re doing I decided to stick with my main bag even though I think I’m doing a bit more walking today but always bring the sunglasses cuz the sun tends come in and out this little water bottle worked out great yesterday cuz like I said you can bring water off you cannot bring it back on and then it just like squeezes up to nothing I’m going to try to remember to buy at least a postcard if not a sticker today going to bring my raincoat when I wasn’t wearing it I just kind of looped on the bag and that worked great and then breakfast of Champs here I have my my ag1 okay you guys I’m not affiliated with them it’s just like I drink it every day I do um I have oh leftover ciss on from yesterday I don’t know if that’s still good pulled out one of the Uncrustables from the fridge and the leftover fruit from yesterday’s uh room service from the fridge and I’m just going to have this little breakfast I’m very glad that I got those and get off the ship look at he split all right this is where I’m heading Chita de Borio no clue if I’m saying that right but it’s the city in the sky it’s about an hour north of Rome so I booked a private tour for this because it’s far and hard to get to and Disney doesn’t even go there but it’s this ancient city it’s from they think it was originally founded in 600 AD and most of the buildings were bit built around 1100 ad and then in I think they said 1695 there was an earthquake that um really shook things up for lack of a better word and it’s been like slowly eroding so nobody’s like the town hasn’t been fully inhabited for many many many many many years uh but apparently there are a handful of residents but yeah and I think we’re also going to orvietto but we’ll see what the what the Day brings I’m excited though I’m just reading about a little bit I could really only find a tour that worked for me that would pick me up at Port that’s really just a driver taking me to this place and I get the impression it’s just me because he reached out a couple days ago and was like well we usually don’t book for just one but we’ll make an exception for you and I was like okay um so it might just be me but I read it he got great reviews this um tour guide and I’m using get your guide which I’ve never used before either but they have a lot of tours in Italy anyway um he got great reviews for being so knowledgeable and that the people on his tours learned a lot when he was driving them to in front place these are like long drives um so we’ll see how it goes I am going to um get myself going here I was trying to see if I could like download like an audio guide or something but I don’t know I I don’t know if I even need that um cuz I’m trying to decide if I need to bring my airpods or anything but I don’t know it would be fun if I could find a an audio guide I’m going to look real quick before I go another day another American Tourist outfit but you know what we go for Comfort these pants telling you do not sleep on hiking pants for touring because they’re like they’re not scrungy right they look they I don’t think they’re scrunchy looking they’re very comfortable they dry easily if they get wet and they’re super lightweight and they pack down to nothing also don’t forget your rain code just don’t don’t forget it no matter what the weather’s forecast that’s just brand there she is looking pretty I already went the wrong way so off to a good start after the after the black plague wow or bonic plague as we call it yes so I come from this area by the way do you yeah I live I live in town here in t which is the when you drop something there’s a you know there’s a you got you get you got cherries right in there oh yes yes the cherries you need a hor kids love it kids love it it’s fun love it wow yeah the countryside is gorgeous so pretty oh [Music] wow it’s incredible it is it’s like stepping back in time oh this is a time capsu can you tell what that is for shopping in knce oh some of ped okay wow that’s the furnace in there you know fire marks and all that oh my goodness been looking through it oh right into the furnace so you see all the oven this is a thousand years old oven oh my goodness okay so they just put the fire in the middle put the fire in the middle yep and B oh thank you fantastic it is this is oh shame is close ah oh well what is this you can never walk some of these are close today one Monday what what Tuesday the winery so this is Chileno Chileno I can’t really say it how he said it but beautiful preserved medieval city or Village really even just from the outside we stood in the oven that counts yeah they’re beautiful those are blueberries oh yes white BL blueberri oh wow very beautiful these are like hay cherries olives most of hay cherries Olive chest CH I show you [Music] up ready communicate but there’s nothing behind this so they put him outside unfortunately the thing has gone down the hill Oh it fell off okay okay oh boy and they did a mark with security one door one entrance that’s it over nothing yes you look down here pretty secure place pretty secure access wow okay don’t know what the L is oh part of the ghost store as well so they will mash the grapes uhhuh under there yeah okay you put grapes you rotate and then grapes go down that’s where we go ready all right well it’s not that far we get to walk up now well hello it’s just us again so I’m going to talk um actually I’m on the tour with a couple uh a mother and son I believe from Tokyo and Luca our guide has been so great and really informative now going to walk up this hill to get to uh I already forgot how to pronounce it Chita B I’ll figure it out at some point but yes oh look how beautiful it’s so pretty I am very excited about this a lot of cats today hello hi that amazing well I don’t really have a RH or Reason how I’m exploring here but we’re just going to go down every little Street until we see it all it’s beautiful what an amazing place look at these flowers gorgeous there are cats everywhere everywhere do you see this little guy he’s like a little he’s in loaf loaf form I seriously feel like it just stepped into this Secret Garden look at this I think there’s a little they don’t have cars up here but they do have like those little tiny funny little trucks oh my goodness wow what did I stumble across just beautiful wow beautiful does this mean vacant vacancy oh V vacation maybe Vacation House came just stay here I’m going to grab something to eat Panini faki faka h sleepy kitty bnbs I would love to come back and stay how wonderful so the reason it’s called the dying city is because parts of it just keep eroding off the mountain and buildings are like over the centuries like collapsing into the The Valleys below and they reinforced it now but they’ had to evacuate many times since settling in the BC era that’s what um Lucas said in he was um like the atesin I don’t know just a lot but they found evidence of um before BC um people occupying here it’s so pretty I don’t have much time unfortunately but um I’m just going to try to whiz through a little bit more maybe grab a postcard be on my wearing way a lot of posing of pictures it is lovely look at this beautiful garden oh it’s beautiful I see some that honeysuckle up there sorry it’s all blown out let’s see oh smells so good wow well that was short but sweet but certainly worth visit I got to head back now oh wow there’s so just’s a lot to see it’s a tiny place but you could really just spend a long time just drinking it in I think woo just got infinitely more crowded so good time to go I bought a very greasy looking sandwich at the moment but I’m sure it’s delightful and it’s gorgeous now sun is out perfect [Music] wow if you want to take I just go theet come back here oh [Music] okay it’s very windy but we’re in Oro now and we’re going to go into seea [Music] beautiful day now really cleared up [Music] [Music] [Music] for [Music] just a few moments to stroll around a little bit it’s very convoluted streets but they’re you know from the Middle Ages so we w’t hold it against them but look they’re just beautiful here’s a more populated Street little shops I’m selling and a local fair is lots of leather and pottery olive oil apparently they just had their like Medieval Fair that’s what all the flags are for the games look at this beautiful sandwich right half of it in the car it’s vacha and local ham and she’s so good now I’m back on the shuttle to go back and we’re back only 10 flights of stairs to go I love this will I take the stairs roll it’s all good back again oh my gosh you guys that tour was fantastic first of all so I got on the ship right at 4 I left the ship at 8:15 so I was gone for just over 8 hours tour is technically 7 and A2 and it was like right on the dot and he took us so I didn’t talk through much of this as I explained yesterday but I took clips for you and hopefully I’ve strung them together in some way or I’m going to put them I don’t know how how the edit will go but just to sum up we drove quite a ways like over an hour um to get to this Chita wait I pulled it out I’m going to try Chita Chita de benio benio which is in um on the border between Tusan and laio right it’s it’s it’s technically in tusia I don’t know how to say these things the region anyway and this was something I really wanted to go to first of all I’m only just starting to get to know Rick Steves I know I know don’t ask I don’t do a ton of international travel lately so he’s not always on my radar but um I did when I was researching things outside of Rome that are from this port from the Chia Port I was like okay I’m going to look around and Rick Steve’s favorite place he says at least in whatever literature I found online in all of Italy is this Chita deorio I have to read it I cannot remember and it’s called the dying City because it’s been around forever like literally forever maybe upwards of 3,000 years don’t quote me on this I don’t know but um it’s been around a long long time but it’s been evacuated so many times because it’s sitting on like crumbling Limestone you know in the especially um when they built up the town more in the Middle Ages um they like to put fortified towns up on mountains or Peaks or Hills or whatever for extra security and this is a kind of limestone that’s just it’s just like eroding So currently there’s 11 people who live there permanently at least and you can I would love to go back and spend the night cuz you can like rent a room I think that would be so fun it’s obviously swamped with tourists during the day but I think they close the gates in the midafternoon and then only the people who are staying there can stay like staying overnight I would love to come back and do that sometime that would be so fun I would love to come back and explore all of this region really anywhere but yes anyway I knew I wanted to go there it looked so interesting and just different you know a Rome is wonderful and there’s I have not seen nearly the tip of the iceberg of Rome but I have been at least once and I felt like I didn’t really want to do that today and I’m so glad I booked this tour I mainly picked it to be honest because the picking I waited so along to book because I do things for last minute now which maybe worked in my favor in this I don’t know what happened but I found this Tour on gety guide but I’ve noticed they’re also on Viator they just don’t have a lot of reviews on Viator they have several more on gety guide uh but I will link both just in case um whatever you’re more comfortable with they’re both totally legit it’s the same company anyway I booked it mainly because it’s one of the only ones I could find that wasn’t like $500 plus like where you really need like a full group not just one person for a private driver where to get picked up from Port here and taken all the way to this place the dying City now you can rent a car and it’s probably a little less expensive but then you have to drive and figure all of that out and picking up the rental I’ve done rental cars in Italy it’s totally doable but you know they drive a lot of manuals here I can’t do that I just didn’t want the bother and I also wanted to have some of the like touring kind of things you get like the history and the information from a local and I got that and more Luca was uh the driver you remember this morning I thought there was just going to be me based on an email I got cuz we changed course we originally supposed to go to the Monster Park Parco de mostri Mo I don’t know how to say it um but they changed that to orvietto which is great cuz that was like second on my list was go to orvietto they have a gorgeous they duo their big Cathedral it’s Byzantine you like the layered um the well it’s not really black and white but it looks like black and white layered um stones and I’m so glad we got to go there because there just happened to be a a performance like a public performance of somebody playing the organ it was incredible that was just that was just incredible timing that was sheer luck but uh so we changed course to do that and there was another uh mother and son with me who are actually on the ship too and uh it was just wonderful it was wonderful it was a really long drive it’s like an hour and a half Drive each way I would say like by the time we went to Chileno we stopped and that was like an off the cuff stop he’s like this is one of my favorite spots it’s not very touristy we were the only people there I showed you all of that that was incredible it’s another like kind of small little town very small town on a you know like a rocky precipice whatever and then we made our way to to Vita and got to spend time there and then the drive to orvietto and but Luca was talking the whole way and the car and stuff he walked us he couldn’t he didn’t like pay to go um through to the dying City but he walked us to the gate and he told us about the history and stuff and and then U we just talked on the whole carway we actually got a little bit of like a political Theory conversation I don’t know but it was are just like all the time flew by because he was very warm and receptive and knowledgeable and happy to chat and um it was wonderful it was a wonderful day okay I’ll stop going on about it hopefully my footage will speak for itself I did not buy anything except for this postcard no stickers I couldn’t really find stickers I had looked that hard but I’m not sure that’s as common a thing as it is in the states to sell stickers everywhere but I bought this little postcard for scrap uh memory keeping I thought it was so cute and then let’s see that the priz is today for the um this is the member Cruise prize the happiest blanket that ever doubled is a towel what exactly is this woven wonder you hold in your hands and will soon tuck into your new backpack is it a towel a blanket a flexible fashion accessory the answer like the one that echoes in your brain as you decide which dessert to choose from the cabana’s buffet is all of those yes it’s a towel excuse me and a blanket and a flexible fashion accessory but it’s also one more thing a warm olian we just made that up hug from all your friends at Disney Vacation Club let me take this out of the bag and we’ll look well here I’ll bring you over set you up we can look at it together so I just read you all that it’s rather compact little bag ah it’s a it’s like a Turkish towel I think it’s a Turkish towel oh I don’t is the camera picking this up maybe a little bit you can see the Disney Vacation Club um member Cruise Insignia on there which I’ve come to learn is uh the anchor with the Disney Vacation Club Mouse ear World in it almost looks like a prayer Shaw ah this would actually be real nice for the plane so it doubles as a towel and a blanket and a fashion accessory very nice very nice look at the difference between when we started this morning and now this sky is gorgeous and I have showered and I feel refreshed and now I have just enough time for a yoga practice before dinner and another fun-packed evening we have yoga we have refreshed this sure just slightly see-through but I’m letting myself wear it and just try to be okay with it yeah it didn’t seem as see-through at home as it does here you know what it’s all right I have lots of clothing on underneath I’ve got pants and bra and more things than people were and anyway okay let’s go get some grub huh also I have been really enjoying having my Kindle with me in the evenings I’ve been reading it when I’m waiting in lines when I’m at dinner it’s really nice to have time to read or like to make concentrated time to read yes that might not be the right word I’m late I got to go back in Enchanted Garden the fountain oh it’s picky [Music] oh that’s cute another to cute to boot menu but look this made me laugh out loud like seriously the Disney Vacation Club Trio altim named with a noge of the numerous talents of oh thank you member Cru main stay Tim OD day who’s kind of a big ve that made me laugh I love um not super hungry from that sandwich I had kind of late so to think about this shrimp and balaya rice which is fascinating and this is the turbo looks delicious there’s pureed potatoes in the middle there which is the real reason I ordered it you know I love my potatoes ah ships are starting to lose lose leave port they’re not losing they’re leaving turned into such a beautiful day realized I haven’t spent much time on the decks I’ve been so busy the nice to take a little stroll with a glass of wine still the same one from dinner and I’m a one glass kind of girl but it’s uh gosh it’s beautiful out there goes another one this looks like an Italian ship e it’s really interesting also to watch the shipyard look see them moving the I don’t know if you guys can see that come on quick see them moving the uh shipping thing container nuts right ah so nice and peaceful going to see the show Believe and I don’t remember this but I’m sure we’ve seen it I did not believe my my state room host was like oh the sun’s just going down it’s almost 9: I’m like really I was in the show so it’s beautiful I just missed the sunset still see a bit we’re clock in it you can tell the ship’s p hard to get to get to Naples really enjoy that show I’ve seen it once before when I’ve it’s on the dream the one time uh and have a long time now until the next thing I’m going to try to go to this battle of the members or something and oh is it still open it is thought I would go to get the ice cream that you pay for a vanilla piece cuz I did not get ice cream at dessert cuz I was waiting I wasn’t hungry and I wanted to get something special so I’ll show you around here it is look at it’s so cute even the door handle how fun is this oh my gosh there’s so many flavors it all looks good okay what are we going to get look all these toppings they have wow and then you can also get like baked treats you can get a brownie sunde up looking at I don’t know if I’m pointing the camera look at these cupcakes wow those are intense oh cute naal navy my goodness look at the rice crispy are fancy dcy got ice cream very windy but so nice to be outside there’s nobody out here gee I wonder why I’m BL away I don’t know if you can see oh there we go the member they usually have movies on but they’re starting to close up they closing the pools and packing up for night time and the Moon is so big and bright in the sky I just had my picture with the fellas is fun and it’s 45 minutes till the thing starts but I’m going to get to loiter over there I guess I’m just enjoying myself it’s beautiful it’s kind of late now so people are petering out a little another night another towel animal I believe this is a frog that made a funny noise I just pulled this out of my bed this was a gift for attending the um the show tonight the um what do they call it the member Cruise battle I don’t know it was hilarious I’m not sure can’t remember if I showed this or not the luggage tag was the DVC gift of today and then well one of the DVC gifts today and look Pompei that’s where we’re heading tomorrow so excited clearly it I’m not a rule breaker I don’t film in the places you’re not supposed to film although I did see a man filming and I was like sorry I’m a rule follower it’s okay I I didn’t tattle I’m not a Tattler but uh anyway that was really really fun I got chatting with very nice lady and we chatted all throughout the line when we were waiting and um also before the started and we sat together it was really I’ve just like struck up so many wonderful conversations and find I’m meeting people a lot and lines for things so that’s been really fun uh but it was hilarious and so much fun so what they did is they had two members uh volunteers and two teams you know go up against or with I should say but against each other um two celebrities at a time and they had three rounds so it was a total of six different celebrities and they just happen to be the talent that is perform performing in the last evening’s show um the Disney hits show so um it was kind of like a little preview just very fun and funny and relaxed uh John pelky and Mark Ferrero were there hosting again and they’re just hilarious and I do not remember the host the like main host’s name I’m sure some of you are yelling at your screen right now cuz you probably know who he is and I don’t this guy I’ll get there Andrew levit hairspray weird the AL yanov viic story um makes his member Cru return to host the first ever Battle of the member crew Stars yes anyway it was him apparently they’re doing this again but with different celebrities and it was so fun I might go to the second showing of this um even though it’s now 11:30 and I have another early morning like I said I’m going to Pompei tomorrow tomorrow’s the only Disney um arranged uh Excursion that I’m doing but I am going to close out this video here CU otherwise these videos would be like 3 hours long so um I’m going to wrap it up here I hope you enjoyed coming along with me on these two days we got to go to Pisa and then to CH vitaa today to see um those amazing medieval towns and or vietto and I’ve just guys I’ve been having the best time it has been a whirlwind but in the best way I’m doing I’m doing basically all of the member like the special DVC member offerings with the exception of the advanced screenings of things because there’s just not enough time and I’d rather do the things with the people that I wouldn’t get to see anywhere else like in person than the screenings of things which is awesome but I know that I can see them when they come out eventually so that’s how I am approaching this if I could do it all I would um but yeah oh my gosh so so fun anyway that is it for this video and today I need to go to bed but um
